Gateway Inn & Cabins

Only can check in 3pm to 5pm. Makes it almost impossible to arrive on time when traveling . No any compensation such as leaving the keycard in front desk as other hotels. We have no where to go but to sleep in our car on this day!! This is the worst hotel in US

Location very good. Room is well decorated, but bed is not clean.

You cant beat the location, literal feet from the park entrance. And the ambiance of a lig cabin is really fun. That being said, the wifi didnt work, the cable didnt work, the office was always closed, and there was no phone signal (that was expected because of location). It meant we couldnt call with questions, call for help, or let them know that they gave us a 4 person cabin instead of a 6 person. There were no workers anywhere. Pretty sure our cabin wasnt cleaned in between occupants, just new towels and made beds. The sink and toilet were dirty, and the bedding positively REEKED of mens cologne. Like gave me a migraine until we left, it was so sfrong. There were cleaners left out in the chairs when we arrived like the cleaner was interrupted andnforgot to finish, maybe. And as a safety note... when you arrive there is no check in. Just a paper on a board announcing names, assigning cabins, and letting you know the doors are unlocked with the keys inside. As a woman, its not my favorite thing to walk into a dark cabin that i know has been unlocked and unattended all day. NOT SAFE. And bring flashlights... the cabins are so poorly lit you cant see the numbers on the remote (which doesnt work anyways) or read a book. You wont have internet like youre supposed to, so bring a game or something for evenings.

Cute cabins. Very eclectic and the floors are not level, however we enjoyed the short stay. Paid for a queen bed abut was placed in a double.

I think we were the only ones at the motel that night. It was during the winter. We arrived at 6:30p and there was no one at the office. A note was tacked to the wall with our room number and instructions. The door to our cottage was unlocked with our key inside. Our only issue we had was the inability to connect to the wifi.

No internet connection in the cabin. they had some excuse about it being a problem in the mountains, but they said they had access in the office, not what was advertised. Mouse liter and torn open sugar packets under the bed, one recliner was partially broken. Roving party in the parking lot from 10pm to 1am Sunday night.

The place is very nice, but it is very dirty. The bed had someone else's hair. It was very dirty. The bed is not comfortable at all. It needs a little updating. The staff is very friendly!!

Property needs to make sure all beds sheets and comforters clean. Also Rats crawling down the walls.
