Showboat Hotel Atlantic City Reviews

1-The parking system is ridiculous. You need to have a cell phone to park, there are no attendants if you need help. 2-We got to the hotel around 5 with the check in line wrapped around the ropes 3 times. (Check in started at 4). We stood there 15 minutes with the line not moving at all. We left and visited a ****** in the area and came back a few hours later to check in. The wait wasn’t too bad then. 3-we we’re given our room and told to go “go down that way to the elevator “. There were 2 elevators and only one was the right elevator. There was a guard standing there never asking to see our room keys as we proceeded to get on the wrong elevator. When we finally got to the right elevator to our room, I was surprised to see how dingy the hallway was. The room was just as bad. It was very dirty looking and There were so many stains in the carpet I didn’t want to take off my shoes. We weren’t very happy with the room or the hotel. We will not stay there again.

Book the king suite for my son bday. The door that divides the other side of the room was broke. Pull out matress felt like a jail bed. For that price thought room would be better

Had a great time with my family, it was my daughters birthday and she had an amazing time at showboats new water park

The water park at Showboat Atlantic City was amazing. The hotel rooms were not upgraded and were not up to standards as they stated they were remodeled. New Orleans tower was not updated and remodeled. The door needed to be pulled shut or pushed open as if it was warped or not properly on hinges the correct way.The service at the hotel was horrible. 1-2 people at front desk said they were understaffed. I would definitely do the water park again but will not be staying at the hotel again.

Room was gross, the carpets in the hallway are gross. The rooms technically aren’t as cheap as they seem because there’s a resort fee. Waterpark and arcade are amazing but I would definitely not stay at the hotel again. They don’t even give a bar of soap to wash your hands and they don’t answer the phone EVER. Trip.com gave me a “vip” number and no one answered that either.

We had a good experience, the hotel and staff were excellent, the service was what we expected. I would come back.

The bed had no sheet on it only a typo sheet the mattress was very old with stains on it and the whole hotel smelt like pee.

We booked for a room with 2 Queen beds, when we went it was 2 full size bed. The water was not going down in the shower, when were pulled out the trap, it was filled with all different types and colors of hair. It took over 20 minutes to clean it out. The toilet had a layer of what appeared to be black mold around the rim. That's expected of a cheap hotel room, not one that cost almost $350 per night.

Hotel is noce but could use some upgrades. Pricing is good. Could have more food options. Rooms are nice but the shower heads could be higher

I found out at the time of checking in there is $100 security deposit! The funds would be released 3-5 business days. This impacted considerably my already very sp**** finances. The room I reserved it was not the room I received. It was at the opposite part of the hotel, away from our group creating a very difficult situation for us. Later in the night we discovered the bath tub drain would benefit from the services of a plumber. The side of hotel our room was was being renovated. The room itself was clean. Since it was not a matter of life and death we brave the situation. We walked more within the hotel navigating between our room and a source of food or our group than we walked on the boardwalk. Be warned that many vendors accept cash only and many don’t even have prices posted. Expect from $9/slice plain pizza or plain funnel cake, $18 cheeseburger and up and plan accordingly for your stay in Atlantic City. The pool is outdoors, about 4feet deep and the bottom of it feels like plastic. I almost fell when I got in because my foot slept. I’ve never slept in a pool before! Kids enjoyed it tho.

Nothing about my stay at Showboat was enjoyable. The room provided me when I arrived hadn't been prepared by housekeeping, there were feces slung about the walls of the bathroom, there were holes in the walls, the room phone did not work. The hallway on the floor reeked of ********* smoke. Went to the front desk, they agreed to provide a completable room. The hallway of the floor to that room also reeked of ********* smoke. The new room had been prepared by housekeeping but was run down and dirty. There were holes in the walls, stains on the carpet, mold in the sink, the room curtains were thickly layered with dust, haphazard repairs such as unpainted furring *****s stapled to the walls to conceal the edges of peeling or torn wallpaper. None of the listed hotel amenities were open, many of the restaurants and attractions listed as part of the Showboat are permanently closed such as the House of Blues. The new Lucky Snake arcade had vintage arcade games, a live music stage, and an ok bar. It was the only nice aspect of the Showboat. Housekeeping never visited the room once during our two night stay. Our toilet broke in the middle of the night the first night, the room phone didn't work, and no one could be found at the desk when it occurred. I couldn't get the issue addressed until the next morning. There were street gangs loitering in the hotel lobby openly selling and doing ***** when I checked in and neither the attendants at the front desk or the hotel security did anything to stop it. The hotel does have a direct connection to the north Atlantic City boardwalk and beach.

It is very clean and quiet.
