This was our third stay at the Great Ponsonby Hotel. Excellent hotel. The location is great. We enjoy checking out the shops, restaurants and bars on Ponsonby Road. Auckland CBD is an easy walk.

The hotel is located in the heart of Auckland's old town, and is very convenient for restaurants, bars, and shopping. An old house that feels like home. Breakfast is prepared on-site by a dedicated chef for each guest, and it is delicious. The service staff were very friendly and enthusiastic, and they even reserved a parking space for us. All in all, everything is fine. I will stay here again next time.

Lovely place to stay. It's winter here and I booked this hotel as it said electric blankets. Upon arriving from overseas and very tired, I noticed no electric blanket. It was no trouble for the manager to find the blankets and fit them to my bed. The room was cosy, comfortable and with an onsite. Delightful coloured decor which I appreciate, as I'm an artist. Plus you only had to walk 100m up the road to the main street, full of shops and cafes. Definitely stay here again. Thanks

The Great Ponsonby Art Hotel is a real gem. A quirky boutique hotel, but has everything. Very clean and quiet rooms, kettle in room, shower and great choice for breakfast. Located within a 20 minute walk to outskirts of Auckland but with great eateries within a few mins walk in Ponsonby. We stayed for just 2 nights but would highly recommend to stay as a great place.
