This was a very first time at a BNB and let me tell you, Linda sets the bar very high for the others. The house, and every single little detail was magnificent . the breakfast that she served was absolutely delicious. Linda was very thoughtful and created a dish especially for me since I am a vegetarian. Throughout the night, you can help yourself to delicious homemade cookies, a glass of whiskey, hot tea, or coffee at your convenience. All served in the period style dishes appropriate to the house, era. After breakfast, Linda and her delightful personality gave us a brief history of the home and the surrounding area and also offered suggestions for different places to visit in Baltimore. Downstairs, you will find a quaint library with games and a card table. for those of us that love to be outside, she has adorable little table set up in her patio. It is gated and extremely safe environment and she provides a key so you can go in and out at your at your convenience. as a topper there is a parking space just for you. Seriously you cannot beat this deal . I highly recommend renting Linda’s place and enjoying a peaceful and tranquility.

The house is huge gorgeous and charming, big hardwood planks and foreign carpets abound. It's meticulously maintained and was a pleasure to bask in for our four nights. Linda, the Innkeeper, was beyond generous helping us in sooooo many ways including offering a variety of items, and also flexibility, to the delicious breakfast menu. The room was immaculate, comfortable and the gas fire place made it pretty cozy when March winds were formidable. Baltimore seems to be a wonderful city, just as it is called - Charm City! WE managed to get around easily, walking Lyft and the Charm City Circulator, even got us to Rachels from the train station. Thank you Linda for making our stay memorable. I hope we might return.

What a gem! Comfortable accommodations located within walking distance to many venues, including Camden Yards, The Hippodrome, Lexington Market, and more. The owner/innkeeper Linda is kind and helpful, making guests feel at home. Looking forward to visiting again!

I have never stayed at Rachel’s Dowry B&B. However, during the last year (including this past week), I have emailed/contacted them three times with some basic questions. Not once did they respond! So, I assigned them “two stars” because, according to Tripadvisor, that represents a “poor” performance by the B&B. There are many other options in Baltimore for me to choose from that will appreciate me as a potential customer.

Great location. Great history. Great host. Highly recommend! Innkeeper is super friendly and knowledgeable. Room was big with big bathroom. Lots of special touches like complimentary cookies and brandy! Breakfast was amazing. Parking super easy too.

Lovely historic building. Host Linda Smith is very welcoming. Rooms are cozy. Breakfast is great. We have stayed there quite a few times and each time is special. Location is very central. Convenient to those going to football or baseball games.

A central location, a superb breakfast, and a welcoming and interesting host, all in one of the oldest houses in Baltimore, beautifully restored, full of antiques and fine reproductions. I don't know what else we could have wanted.

It is a privilege to stay at this Inn and be part of history. Linda, the Innkeeper, is kind, intelligent and knowledgeable. The house has hosted George Washington and other early Americans and is so beautifully restored that you can just picture them coming down the central staircase. Breakfasts are, in a word, amazing. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The home is within easy walking distance to the Inner Harbor and other Baltimore sights such as the Babe Ruth House. It's also walking distance to University of Maryland Medical Center (which we had reason to visit unfortunately) and their law, nursing, and medical schools. Why would you stay at the chain hotels when you could stay here instead??
