Stayed here three nights August 12-15 . The hotel is in a great location overlooking the beach with a lovely beer garden. Has a large free car park. The breakfast was really great with lot of variety, very quick service and excellent produce used. The bar is very good with a selection of real ales and wines. All the staff were very friendly. Didn’t get all their names but call out to Sarah, Jackie and Nicola. And to the gentleman who served in the bar and also when we retrieved our key from behind the reception, checked our names- thank you for this security check. Our room was well laid out, clean and serviced. The shower room was lovely. Especially loved the large light up mirror. Only small details - there was nowhere to hang towels so had to tuck into the large spacious built in drawers underneath the sink and the curtains could do with fitting better. We were very lucky with great weather so we were able to make the most of Barmouth’s walks and amazing beach and the Min y Mor was a perfect base, only 10 min walk from Barmouth.

Went to this hotel for 2 nights and I booked this weekend few months ago to be told we got sea view . We get to the room which was small . The window was all frosted glass so couldn’t see through it. Had to get on the bed to open top part of window . Bathroom very old and dirty looking . Very dusty needs cleaning . Took pictures when I complained but staff not interested used excuse couldn’t clean because our belongings were in the room . Breakfast was ok . Evening menu was terrible ordered a meal and it came very quick but microwave chips only ate scampi asked for mushy peas got garden peas . Suppost to be 4 star couldnt tell the difference with who staff were . They were not dressed tidy considering 4 star hotel . They knocked £20 of the bill because of everything but tbf paying over £200 is bad as to put someone in a room no air con can’t see out the window is disgusting. I asked for a fan which they gave me . No hair dryer in the room . More of a view looking out the bathroom window . It’ needs a fresh look very dated and old fashioned . Got pics of the room showing it’s not bn cleaned well before we got there . Outside seating needs sorting as well . Terrible hotel .

My husband and I have just come back from a 2 night break which was wonderful.Lovely castle like Hotel, looking out to the Sea and Beach just few yards across the road,Beer garden with many tables.Good sized car park, easy flat access to Hotel from the side or front.Checked in by lovely friendly lady who also served us drinks as we were a bit early. Room 27 twin ground floor, was clean, spacious with a great wet room.Higher comfy beds resulting in 2 nights good sleep. We ate twice, evening meals which were hot, tasty, plentiful and reasonably priced. There are lunch options too we did not manage to try, but defo will next time. Our son and daughter_in_law joined us,she has gluten and other allergies and she was catered for,A nice lady Faith remembered my Son from 2 weeks previous, where they had found this Hotel to eat and drink(they holiday in campervan),they felt comfy so we all decided to visit again. There was a family room with pool table and the men played darts.Bar man was a great guy, named Gary I think,in fact all staff except for one were warm and made you feel welcome. He kindly said they could join us for breakfast ,I know lunch and evening meals are available for non residents, but not sure about breakfast time,so were thankful of that.Lovely blonde lady(sorry I did not get name.) served us a nice breakfast,in a large Restaurant, she was so helpful with the allergy situation.I know every one has there own experiences, ours was a good one.Wished we had found Min_Y_Mor years ago, thank you for helping us make memories to once again cherish. If we are in the area again, this will be our go to Hotel. Thanks again,Helen and Shaun.x

My husband and I have just come back from a great 2 night stay at Min_Y_Mor.The hotel is right opposite the beach, with sea views to die for. There was a large carpark with easy flat access into the Hotel, from the side and front.Plenty of outside tables too.We were early and got a drink from the bar.The lady there was so friendly and warm, she also checked us in,giving info on eating times ect .We stayed in a ground floor twin room,No27 which was lovely.Clean, with plenty storage for clothes,2 large windows, comfy chairs, large tv on wall, plentiful tea and coffee tray. The bonus for us was the wet room, ideal, easy to use powerful shower, grab rails and a higher toilet with grab bars.,thick fluffy towels, lovely decor. The beds were so comfy, higher too so no struggles to get up with bad knees, resulting in 2 good nights sleep, radiator giving out good heat.We did not go down to breakfast the first morning, met 2 lovely ladies who came to service our room.We had evening meal, where by our son and daughter in law joined us ..Hot,tasty,plentiful,reasonable prices we thought. The lady was Faith I think, showed us to a window table, she was so sweet and warm, remembered my son from 2 weeks before, because his girl is gluten free and lactose intolerant.Sorry, here is the only negative,I was not sure if I should mention this, but it is an honest review. The dark haired lady who bought the food to our table gave off an aura of disdain,I am always very polite to waitresses serving you because I know they work so hard.No smile, just seemed to plonk your food down.,my husband had just finished, she came to clear his plate and dishes, which you do not do while others are still eating. Its not a major I know,it was my husband who bought this up to me and I agreed.Second night,we also ate another lovely evening meal, could not fault it,same lady,a bit nicer, but just not a nice energy.I mean I do not expect fanfares and whistles, just bit of warmth. We did compliment the chef.,she did say she would pass it on.The bar man_ manager I think who name was Gary, was a great guy,we had a bit of banter,(the English bull terrier and my message from my Dad.ha ha.)he kindly said our son could join us for brekky,( who were none residents),just to mention to the girls and about the gluten free. This same girl I thought was rude when I told her,she just went into the kitchen saying 2 more are coming, her kids,I mentioned gluten free,no acknowledgement,in her defense she may not have heard, but never came back out, I stood there like a lemon, then heard her say in a mockingly tone, "Man what Man,some one else I heard say Gary,at this stage I did not know his name to mention,so at this point my politeness left me and I said sharply,"shall I go and ask him then.Just made to feel like an inconvenience, all I needed was ok don:t worry we can put table together,as of course room 27 set up for 2.Son and girl came in then, but I was feeling agitated. So, the blonde lady with glasses who served us was so lov

The room we had was quiet and was not quite as we expected for an accessible room. More thought about positioning of bathroom fittings would have been useful. Mobility scooter too large to enter the room for recharging. (Newly revamped room but door was not widened ) However the staff were very helpful and we had no problem. All the staff were great (special mention for Gary - a great guy) The breakfasts were cooked to order very quickly and set us up for our excursions. It was a shock for the weather to be so fantastic for our long weekend there. Rates were very reasonable.

I am really surprised to read a lot of these negative reviews.. I have stayed at the Min-y-mor several times, with my family and we have always had the best time! Most recently, we spent easter there this year and as always, the hotel was relaxing and fun. Our room and, as far as I could tell, the rest of the hotel has always been very clean and tidy. Breakfast and dinner have always been fantastic, and the staff always kind and good for a bit of banter. I can't speak for anyone else's personal experience, but my advise would be to take the negativity with a pinch of salt - give the Min-y a try and I guarantee you will be back!!

Had the best bank holiday weekend in the Min Y mor hotel. Room was spotless, food was amazing i especially liked the breakfast that was made to order! The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The sun was shining and we sat in the beer garden overlooking the sea. I particularly liked the outdoor bar and the music that was on! Every song was fabulous and we couldn't move on! Will defo be back! Thanks so much for such a fabulous time. Best place in Barmouth!

So my partner surprised me with a weekend at the beach. On the beach we were!! A tidy hotel, amazing staff and the beach is right across the road. Small walk into Barmouth and it’s very dog friendly. Our Dave the Dog appreciated the extra sausages! The bed was super comfortable and the shower was amazing! Clean, friendly, lovely garden with a beach view. No complaints here!!
