Origin Baton Rouge, a Wyndham Hotel

Friendly staff. Big room. All good

I usually don't post a review, however, the pillows.... omggggg!!! The absolute best I've ever laid my head on. I need to know where to buy them!

Weekend rate too high. Charged for second night even though I did not use room. Electrical sockets did not work in room. Light missing and not working in bathroom to be able to see adequately.

Hotel is very clean and service is good but the amenities are sad. The pillows are not soft enough and high, I woke up several times with awful neck pain. The A/C has a very bright panel in a small dark room, this made it bet hard to sleep. A bottle of water is $5.50 and the ice machine on my floor was not working. Room just felt bare especially for the price. I’m guessing because of the location but I didn’t choose the hotel for that reason; I chose it because it was supposed to be really nice going by the reviews ands star rating. I was looking for a comfortable night and ended with a crappy night sleep. it was disappointing.

Great boutique style hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. They did not have the room type I reserved so we were upgraded with no extra charge.

I’m tempted to keep this one to myself because it was that great. As someone from the hospitality industry, the staff knows the balance of personable and professional, the food was exquisite, and the accommodations were better than that of anywhere else I’ve stayed in Baton Rouge.

Everything was unique about it. The staff, the tiger theme, the cleanliness and the location. Very close to the river, old state capitol and war museum The hotel condition is extremely good, clean and new. the tiger theme/ wallpaper is very cool. The staff was very helpful and polite. They have valet parking for $32 a day but you also have the option to park outside which is cheaper, more convenient and close. The rooms were extremely clean, good Nespresso coffee machine and bathroom products. the stickers given are super cool too!

The good: Very friendly staff. Very clean. Comfortable bedding. The bad: Noisy. We were on the second floor. Literally any vehicle that passed by, sounded like our windows were open. There was traffic noise ALL night. The TV reset to the “welcome” screen and volume at midnight… which was loud. Parking. Public pay options nearby and valet $32.00 per night. There are options, but I hated the additional parking charges. If this hotel was located anywhere else, it’s a no brainer option. Where it’s at, with no sound proof walls. I wouldn’t stay again. I’m not necessarily a light sleeper… but I didn’t get any staying here.

I planned a trip to Baton Rouge for Mardi Gras ,as well as my best friend’s 40th Birthday. The moment we arrived; The hotel & the staff exceeded our expectations… From quick and easy parking to attend Spanish Town parade. Along with being surprised with early check in; to freshen up and put our bags away. Most of all the staff was exceptional, friendly faces with stellar customer service. Thank you all !!! We will be back !!!
