The room was very nice and clean! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The beach was beautiful. The pools were entertaining, plenty of chairs at the pools and beach. The nightly entertainment was fun to watch. We went to 2 of the 4 Riu Parties. They were high energy, but definitely not a place you would want to take a younger member of the family. All in all, we had a great week!

Horrible customer service with the ******* representative. We where guaranteed free return schedule from the hotel to airport and was not helpful all and we ended having to pay a shuttle.

The hotel itself is nice but if your young, it is really boring and no night life at all. My husband and I are 48 and 49 and were probably some of the youngest people there! Super quiet and caters to the senior club,, we regret not staying at the Riu Palace for familes. Wish we were advised everything dies out by 8pm...

Although the staff involved with daily activities around the resort were excellent, the staff at the front desk were less than helpful. At times, it seemed as though basic questions annoyed them. They were quick to send you to another staff member or ask you to come back at another time.
The service around the pool was quick when Victor was working. Other employees were not as quick, but present.
The lights in the public restrooms turn off within seconds so plan to do your business quickly. While discussing lights, there is a sensor light in the room which activates at the slightest move. If you are a light sleeper and sharing a room with someone else, get ready to be woken with each movement.
There is no place on the resort to purchase basic items so be sure to bring everything you need if you do not expect to leave the property. There is a sign posted which reads that a doctor is available 24 hours. This is not true. When we went to the doctor to get a basic antacid, we found a couple who had been waiting for the doctor. They had been told by the front desk that the doctor was called and was twenty minutes away.
The gym is clean, but the machines are positioned in direct sunlight with no shades on the window to block the UV rays. So, if you like to sunbath and workout at the sand time, this is a good thing for you. I for one do not.
Overall, Hotel RIU Palace Macao is nice, but there are a few things which need improvement.

Very nice resort. Close to the airport - 30 min drive. The grounds were well groomed, and easy access to the beach. Plenty of seating around the pools and beach. Service was hit or miss, some days you’d get your drink right away other days you waited 30minutes. The food was ok, but edible, one wish…there were more lunch options. The rooms were clean and serviced daily. Had to ask for more coffee and waters daily. The RIU party is a must see!!

The property was very beautiful and I loved our balcony it was big and spacious with amazing views. The only thing I didnt like was the sewer smell in the room and I think the food options could be a little better.

Great all inclusive adults only resort! The service was excellent provided by prompt and friendly staff. The staff was not only polite and accommodating, but many went above and beyond by connecting and engaging with the resort goers, making a fun experience. The facilities were clean and well kept.
The only thing that was lacking was the nightly entertainment. The opening entertainment was the same every night (Kahoot and awkward attempt at dancing with the crowd- maybe try just opening up the dancing area to all instead of pulling up only a few guests). The shows were overall pretty cheesy and lack luster. Think bad lip syncing. When there is a Riu party there is not another option in the evening and the party scene is not everyone's thing.
Overall a great choice and I would book here again.

The staff was awesome. Juan was my favorite server. Everything was kept spotless. Food was great. Parties were great. Activities were fun. Met wonderful people from all over the world.

It was a lovely stay. The staff was kind and helpful. We had the same bartender each evening Dilas and he was amazing. The entertainment staff remembered everyone including names which is impressive.
If you are of the older adult demographic you will fit right in. My friends and I are on the younger side and joked theat we took our vacation to a retirement community- but agreed we preferred it over a younger crowd.
