Beautiful place to stay, but the service in front desk is not friendly, the guys who work there don’t have a good service attitude, I got a really bad time trying to get check out lat because my flight was delayed and we needed a place to stay, definitely I think this hotel has many good things except the front desk staff

I don't want to be too negative, because in the end, my family had a wonderful Spring vacation in Punta Cana. Our room was spacious and the buffet restaurant was good with plenty of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The resort was also very accommodating to kids. However, there is construction on one side of the resort which is separated by a bamboo fence and there is sewer water running under the bamboo, causing the entire side of the resort to smell like sewer water. It was really bad. The front desk appeared to be understaffed and phone calls to them were often unanswered. During our stay the internet went out for approximately 24 hrs and the staff couldn't provide any updates or estimated time the situation would resolve. We ate 2 nights at the a-la-carte restaurants, but the service was too slow, especially with little kids, and orders ended up wrong or missing altogether. After the second disappointing night we agreed to go to the buffet each night for dinner. Fortunately, there was enough variety to keep things enjoyable there. The general consensus, in talking to other guest, was that everyone felt it was a very "affordable" resort. Given the price, I'm not overly disappointed with the experience, but we won't be returning.

This resort totally met our expectations! It is exceptionally maintained, clean, and beautiful! The rooms have very comfortable beds, and are kept in excellent condition. Our kids loved the water parks, and being picky eaters, they found a wide assortment of food choices at the buffet. The a la cart restaurants are amazing (our favourite being The Chop), and once we got the hang of how reservations were made effectively (making reservations at 6:30 am), we were pros! There is ample pool space, and the water is warm. Great beach too with many cabanas. The entertainment staff are the most friendly of all of the staff. We were never hounded by staff about “time shares” or buying into extras. I would certainly recommend this resort, and would return again!

no casinos, spa personel is mean and notbprofessioanl at all, limited staff for all the customers. Hotel staff is overworked nobody tips them.. Hotel smells terrible by the main entrance.. Pool chairs and beach chairs are always taken.. Beach is good..
Bartenders by the pool are nice and courteous..

The resort was clean, staff was very friendly and I overall enjoyed my stay. My complaints would be people constantly coming up to you, even while sitting at the pool or laying out at the beach, to try to sell you excursion packages (3 times in 2 hours at one point). There was also an option to pay $80 extra/night to get "premium" access to drinks and seating/swimming areas, which leads me to probably the most frustrating part of the trip. It was difficult to find chairs to sit at the pool or sit by the beach. There clearly weren't enough for everyone, despite the "premium" section having plenty of open seating. Maybe going during spring break had something to do with it. Be prepared to get up early for a spot at the pool/beach or be willing to put your belongings in a pile on the ground.

Serenade is a smaller resort and was well maintained.
Pros: clean common areas, new room decor, excellent buffet food, and well stocked bars.
Cons - went in March 2024: insufficient pool and beach chairs (had to get up at 7am to reserve), tons of seaweed so the beach was unusable and there was the occasional sewage smell near the lobby area (at least a few times that was very pungent during our 7-day stay).

This is a good resort, and was perfect for my girlfriend and me on vacation with our two eight-year-olds. The water slides and pools as well as the selection at the buffet were perfect. The rooms are clean, and the whole resort is in great condition. Where you're sacrificing is really the beach - the Dominican boasts some of the most beautiful beaches ever, and this resort is sadly in an extremely shallow (you won't ever get to be submerged in the allotted swim area) and seaweed-overidden area.
That said, we went for the kids and they had a blast. There are enough food options for everyone to find something (we ate at the buffet the whole time and didn't bother with the restaurants) and the staff is quite nice, especially if you yourself are kind!
Lots of reviews mentioned the horrible pillows and though it's true that these aren't the large amazing hotel pillows you may be hoping for, we were fine (and one of us has severe back problems).
Get ready to leave a note for the maid if you want more than two towels, but otherwise their service was great, restocking us with 6 water bottles daily and cleaning in record time.
