Thomas gave me a very warm welcome and spoke excellent English. I was able to eat delicious dumplings and drink good tea. The room was heated, much to my delight in winter. The accommodation is a stone's throw from the Great Wall.

在八達嶺長城旅遊區的一個鎮裏面，家庭式旅館，爬了長城之後，可以在這裏稍作休息，第二天離開，這樣比較輕鬆。景區附近的住宿，不要按城區的賓館條件來要求。睡醒之後，在這個古鎮逛一逛感覺還是很愜意的。老闆一家也比較熱情，服務真誠

苑民宿就是農家小院，房間條件不行，沒有配茶水，也沒有礦泉水，連多的拖鞋都沒有，定的家庭房三人間就兩雙涼拖鞋，不方便洗漱，不過影響不大；房間沒有紙巾，衹有廁所的一卷很薄、質量很差的紙，房間隔音差，就是壁埃壁；
重點我要説該民宿所在的岔道村的農家院吃飯問題：非常坑，大家千萬別去【田家大院】
八達嶺岔道村的各個農家樂吃飯千萬別去吃，非常坑，特別是田家大院。價格死貴、難吃。1. 一道88的番茄牛腩就三四塊牛腩，還不如一份牛肉麪裏面的肉量；2. 128一份的豆腐煮魚更是難吃，滿滿的魚腥味，99%是死魚，肉質很粗；3. 免費車送到長城腳下也是坑，實際就送了1里路，還得自己穿過鐵路，沿着公路往上走至少20分鐘才能到達步行登山入口；
如果一定要吃，建議就點倆炒菜三四十那種填個飽，把錢拿到市裡吃北京烤鴨、銅鍋涮肉吧

房間洗澡水一點都不好用，水又小，要麼太燙，要麼是冷水，還一直要求我們提前退房。房間紙巾也扣門，就衹有洗手間一卷非常小的紙巾，大家請慎重
