Ruizhao Hotel (Beijing Guomao) Reviews

This is an old hotel, a 15 minutes walk to the nearest metro station. Definitely not a high end area. I was shocked at the state of my room on the 4th floor in my 1st week stay. The lower part of the walls beside the door to the room were mouldy and the wall crumbly and wall paper in tatters on the outside as well as, the inside of the room. I was not sure if the moulds could cause a health issue. The shower area cleanliness needs improvement. The shower head is old and the sprays of water were going at all angles. Taking a shower was infuriating. The receptionists ( except for 2) were unsmiling and unhelpful, even when they were not busy. Only this 2 receptionists helped to call for a taxi or make a reservation to the Beijing museum. The others would ask why I could not use Weixin myself! (In order for short term tourists to install and use Weixin in China, we need a local to verify our account)

Hotel location was ok. Was older/dirty (mold/rust in washroom). There were black flakes coming out of the air conditioner and got all over our stuff.

The hotel is located about 15-20 min walk from Guomao station line 1 exit C. The traffic lights crossing on the way to the hotel was quite an adventure especially on my first day there. Their price is one of the lowest in the CBD area and they accept foreigners. Basic needs are met. I could not turn on the tv but i was fine without it. Initially i was worried after reading the negative reviews but it turned out better than expected.

This hotel is quite ok Good point: Employees are supportive There is some food stores nearby And easy to get bus stop Not good point: Hotel is a little old, hence room condition is also old compared to price to pay

It was an amazing stay experience at Guomao district, the center of CBD in Beijing. Excellent transport access by metro, bus and even public bikes everywhere. I could have an unforgettable stay in Beijing thanks to this superior geographical location as well as amazing hotel service and amenities. Highly recommended for travelers in Beijing :)

The lovely room is very comfortable and relaxed, I like it, I will back next time.

It's good hotel very clean and the bed is so great very comfortable, they have everything so convenient for living. And the officer are good, they can help me even they can't speak English, they are kind. And the location of the hotel are great..near the subway (two stations), near the park, near the mall and the spacial thing is near the restaurant (few restaurants next to the hotel and the price good and good teast)

The location is nice, the room was very small and there was no place to leave the clothes or the luggage so the small space became smaller, i’d say that only for sleeping is okay, but the room could have been cleaner. The sheets were stained and when I used the small towel for the face it had hair from another person! I wouldn’t stay here again

Had a good stay , the location is neadby metro station and easily accessible for nearby travelling. Rooms were bit compacted but the stay was fine as cleanliness was maintained. All amenities were provided and the staff was cooperative. View from the room was also fine. The view of the room is shown in picture.

Hotel is located near main road. As the hotel windows are not sound proof, it is very noisy especially at night when we sleeping.

I appreciate the location of the hotel, it's convenient when exploring the city centre, partying at Sanlitun, and arriving at the Capital airport. However, what I dislike about the hotel is that glass wall between the room and the bathroom. On top of that, there was sort of mould on the ceiling of the bathroom.

The rooms are nice and clean. But the attitude of most staff at the reception (with the exception of one lady) was indifferent at best. My socket converter didn't work and went down to ask for one. The girl was playing games on her phone and told me that they didn't have a spare one without looking up. It took her some time to finish her game and then, after my request to look again, pulled out one. Another bad experience was ordering something on Meituan app. Same thing happened. She continued playing the game and each step has to wait till she finished something on her phone. Please note that they don't offer laundry services and will not help you look for a laundry service nearby.

Very clean room, in a good location, about a 5-10 minute walk from shaungbing or Guomao subway stations.
