Hotel Alameda

Lovely hotel very central , staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble very helpful. Food was good plenty of variety,rooms cleaned and towels changed every day. The barman Remi was very friendly and polite, we would definitely recommend a stay here.

Just come back from an amazing 5 night stay at the Alameda, the room was amazing 7th floor with balcony & sun loungers,lovely comfy bed & nice large bathroom. The location is fabulous in old town very near beach also. The hotel staff where wonderful, charming & so friendly, particularly appreciated Diana who was wonderful with us, we love it so much we have booked for 12 nights in Aug & also for Oct . Thank you for a wonderful stay !!

Where to start, We arrived late at night and very tired. Bad points: First off, you have a good 5 minute walk from the drop off point to the hotel entrance. This could be problem for some with the cobbles and uneven surfaces, especially with heavy luggage. There were 3 of us ladies sharing a room. The room we were given was absolutely tiny. Three beds had been squeezed into a tiny double room. So there was absolutely nowhere to stand in the room to get ready without getting in somebody else's way (good job we are good friends!) We were told the next day, when we asked if there were any larger rooms available, that the room was given to us, as we had booked through an Agency (On the Beach) and not direct. Made us feel a bit like 2nd class citizens. And the holiday was not cheap! The shower attachment was broken on arrival. (But promptly fixed once we notified the Reception.) Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Our tiny balcony (no room for chair or anything, more like a Juliette ) was dirty and had bird poo on it. It looked straight into somebody's kitchen and an alley below. So not a pleasant space at all. I am not sure how we missed it, probably as we had looked at lots of hotels, but there is no pool or Jacuzzi on the sun terrace. This was a major disappointment for us, but not the hotels fault. You had to pay to use the safe in the room. Reception staff not very welcoming or helpful (apart from one named Diana who we met on our last day). Good points: Fabulous location - right in the centre of the old town and close to the beach Comfortable beds Room was very clean (not balcony as mentioned above) Bathroom was a good size with a hot shower

Just back after spending 10 days in Hotel Alameda and really enjoyed our stay. We were half board, with lots of choice for breakfast and a nice evening meal, with a complimentary bottle of wine & water. We stayed in a superior front facing room with balcony, beds were really comfortable, it could be a bit noisy at night because of all the bars in the street, but didn’t keep us awake. Hotel was spotlessly clean and staff were really friendly, majority of guests were Spanish. Overall a lovely holiday.

Lovely hotel in a great location. We paid for a superior room so we had a balcony had a view of gin alley. Room very clean and had great storage and space for 2 people. Large walk in shower. Did not eat at the hotel but did have a couple of drinks in the outside bar. Roof top was great but bar was never open so took own drinks. Views are great and it was very peaceful.

Nicely located was upgraded free took a travel kettle lovely room and shower food was good staff were great had no problems some upgrading work being done on sun terrace would go back again very near sea front and shops bars restaurants hotel was clean

Lovely basic clean hotel. Friendly staff. Front end staff very helpful. Nice welcoming. No kettle do I brought my own. Nice roof top sun bathing area . Nicky situated in the old town. 3 minutes away from the beach and right next to tapas alley.

Excellent hotel fantastic customer service from all staff especially Diane receptionist Hotel spotless. Stayed full board plenty of choice. Great sunbathing area with fantastic views. Would give this hotel 10 out if 10 no hesitation in recommending to friends will definetly stay here again.

Stayed at this Hotel last October, booked to stay again this September why ? The Hotel is in a perfect location for me, All the staff very pleasant. Stayed bed and breakfast, very nice, all you need ,hot and cold buffet. I would suggest booking a room overlooking Alameda-gin and tonic street, or sea views.they come with balconies. Some other rooms come with French balconies.I give it 5 stars
