Our stay at the Hotel du Palais was an absolute dream. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to an oceanfront room, which was nothing short of breathtaking. We arrived on my husband's birthday and walking in to this view was the perfect surprise! All of the staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable experience. A special thanks to Emma from the concierge team, who helped us with both a restaurant reservation and arranging a rental car – her assistance made everything so easy. We highly recommend having dinner at La Rotonde, where the food is delicious, and the setting is simply elegant. A drink at the Bar Napoleon III is also a must – the atmosphere is cozy and their cocktail menu is fantastic! We spent some relaxing afternoons by the pool, enjoying the ocean views from the lounge chairs, which added to the overall luxurious experience. If you can, we also recommend 1/2 day trips to St Jean de Luz and St Jean Pied de Port. Two adorable villages (very different from each other), and easy drives. We couldn't be happier with our stay, and hope to return one day!
Hotel is a perfect boutique hotel in a perfect location. Kept in fantastic condition. NESPRESSO machine was giving water instead of coffee and I let lovely person ( they’re ALL lovely so expect that as one of best things to happen on a trip ) and it was evening. Following afternoon come back to room and tthere is a new one there and they had filled it with water. I wasn’t expecting that. I only asked if they can check it etc. And cleaning personnel are so polite. They all greet you and wish you a good day. We lost a card ( long story ) and I asked one of them about it: we searched together and could not find it. We come back to room later and it was there!!!!! She found it ! They go over and above. In Dining room also. You know a hotel is managed well with service and people such as this. They were all awesome and I would not hesitate to stay here over and over.
The Hotel le Windsor Grande Plage Biarritz was a pleasure to stay at. From the time we checked in early until our checkout they were helpful and attentive. We had a super nice room overlooking the beach and very much enjoyed watching the waves roll in. The staff was extra ordinary and saw to our every need. The room was kind of small but we had what they called a double but was at least a Queen sized bed and the shower was great. All in all a great one night stay.

I love this hotel, i unfortunately booked the wrong day and arrived a week early, Amandine did everything possible to help and change it, so we had somewhere to stay. The hotel is beautiful and fantastic location. We opted for the bigger room with balcony and sea views-well worth it. Very spacious and comfortable. Amandine is worth her weight in gold, just the welcome you need after a long trip on busy roads in a storm. Thank you...
This hotel is ideal location just a five minute walk away from the main streets of Biarritz and an easy inexpensive ride from the airport on the number 36 bus. We were greeted efficiently at reception and allocated a superior room on the first floor overlooking the swimming pool. Room was not massive but big enough for two travelling with just one suitcase. Bed was comfortable, full length mirror and plenty of sockets to charge iPad and iPhone. Shower was good ,air conditioning worked effectively and we had a comfortable sleep. Wifi worked well on room and by the side of the pool. As others have said TV lacks any English language stations. Pool is not huge but large enough to cool down and exercise in, there were sufficient loungers around the pool and complimentary towels available from reception. Breakfast was offered in two price ranges. €12 and €20 but neither were great value for money. There is a Carrefour supermarket across the road where you can buy breakfast items and there is a kettle in the room. There was a bar but we never witnessed it open. Hotel did the job, probably good value for Biarritz.

I just enjoyed four nights at this wonderful hotel and would recommend it to anyone and everyone! All of the staff are absolutely charming and extremely helpful and attentive and very good listeners. They have mastered their craft and this really made all the difference. Food, coffee, pastries, and breakfast Were thoughtfully prepared with the best ingredients. I especially liked the coffee. The bed, pillows, and linen I found luxurious! The room had everything I needed to be comfortable and the thermostat for heat was easy to figure out as well. They really make it so easy for you to enjoy yourself. The bathroom was very large and had everything I needed, including a hairdryer for me traveling solo. A bit of advice, if you find yourself eating a lot at breakfast and then again at lunch and don’t want to go out for dinner, I used Uber eats and it was extremely straightforward and easy. Nice to have an option. There is a wonderful restaurant just down the street. However, all the restaurants I tried in the neighborhood were both extremely delicious and well priced. The location of this hotel could not be better. It was just a short walk down to the ocean with many shops on the way which I did several times a day. I researched a lot of hotels before booking and I’m so glad that my instincts were correct.
We spent two nights in this hotel. It is centrally located charming old house. Prior to booking you should be aware about this. You will not have elevators, the streets around the hotel are non of the main traffic routes, but you will have some traffic noise. And you will hear some noises from your neighbours rooms due to the construction of the building. And finally, you have to park your car in the nearby public parking house (5 min walk). But the place is charming, the rooms are fairly well maintained, the air condition works perfectly, so you can close the windows while sleeping. The winter-garden is a nice place to stay, the friendly staff also serves wine etc.. and helps with reccomendation/reservations in the local restaurants. The market hall (and all the nice restaurants there) is within a 3-4 min walk. Within 5-7 mins you are at the beach. If you are willing to accept some minor compromises, this place is a clear recommendation from our side. We will definitely return.
The staff were great - very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was as described. Bed was comfortable, shower good. Everything worked well. Room was quiet, even with window on to street open. No complaints. Would recommend this place and would book again if returning to Biarritz.
The apartment was spacious and the indoor pool area was pleasant if not a little soulless. However I wouldn’t stay here again. My issues were: the coffee machine was full of mould; the reception was closed when we arrived and we had to wait ages for a rather unfriendly receptionist; we got locked out one day as card stopped working and again we had to wait ages for reception. However my major complaint was, we had to pay a deposit that was returned to you only after an overly thorough apartment inspection! I can understand if you damaged something significant but honestly we were told to clean finger marks off the toaster!! We had paid to stay there and were treated like we were at boarding school or something!! On the plus side, there was good parking and it was walking distance into Biarritz, so great spot.

Outstanding
Simply excellent, a tranquil sanctuary during our recent European tour. All facilities rooms restaurant etc. perfect as you would expect, however the service and attendance from the team was sublime, all our needs were met and exceeded by a caring and accommodating team, delivery par excellence, merci.
Check in was smooth. We felt as if the receptionist was laughing at us? Room was small but spotless. Think the size of the room is standard for Biarritz. Beds were super comfy. Aircon was great. Shower was lovely. However they need to invest in some blackout curtains as we woke up super early to a bright room- curtains were light and white. Roadworks were on outside but that is not the hotels fault. Reasonable price for location too. Happy with our stay.
DDUNCANSAberdeenGreat central location for our 4 night stay. Staff helpful on arrival and checkout. 4th floor seaview one bedroom apartment was perfect for us or a family with bunkbeds for children - basic but clean and all that was needed with it being a city break would definitely use again if returning to Biarritz. Pool was an added bonus plenty sunbeds and brollies though still early season.
GGuest UserWe arrived Hotel Le Biarritz in the middle of the night, desperate to get a room for the night for 2 adults and 3 kids, due to our originally booked apartment hotel next door gave us cardkeys that were not activated upon arrival. The reception was closed and the telephone number in case of ”emergency” was turned off after midnight. We were warmly welcomed by a very nice man, unfortunately I do not remember his name. We got 2 rooms with a very good discount and the 3rd room for free. The children were hungry, so we asked if we could buy some snacks. He offered us pancakes. He went to the kitchen and came out with a trey full of pancakes, yoghurts, and 3 different sorts of cakes and water. He also asked if we wanted breakfast in the morning, but we were not sure we would make it in time, so he told us we can have the breakfast for free. We also had access to the pool the day after. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try it. Our rooms were small, but nice and clean. (I see from the pictures on their website that they have bigger rooms with balcony). In the morning we got breakfast while the kids were still sleeping. We then got a little basket we could bring to the room with full of croissants for the kids. If it wasn't for the already paid apartment hotel, we would have stayed in hotel Le Biarritz for the rest of our stay in Biarritz. We have never ever experienced such a nice welcoming and service in any other hotel we have stayed at before and strongly recommend this hotel for the service and location. It is located near the beach, 5 min walk. 10 min walk to the grocery store and other nice restaurant. The bus stop is also located right outside the hotel. You can also walk all the way to the city on a sidewalk right by the beach. We would definitively one back to hotel Le Biarritz.
GGuest UserThe staffs are very helpful and friendly as well as the amenities such as spa and massage treatment. They also provided delicious Basque Foods for choices. The location is absolutely nearby the Beach that taking about few mins walking apart. I would highly recommend to people who are planning in Biarritz
GGuest UserThe good: It is clean. The mattress is comfortable. The TV and WiFi work. The airport is very close. The bad: The hotel is showing its age. It is more of a motel than a hotel. There is no elevator. The outdoor walkways and spiral staircases are not well-lit. The rooms are very small. The pillows are bad. No bar soap is provided, but there are soap dispensers on the wall in the bathroom, by the sink and in the bathtub. There are no washcloths, however. How does one use liquid soap with no washcloth? The ugly: The toilet. Probably not a big issue if you are alone in the room, but if there is a second person, be aware that the toilet tank requires a minimum of ten minutes to refill between flushes. When asked about it, the employees at the reception desk acknowledged this was an issue in all rooms. We would definitely look for a different option next time we have to fly out of Biarritz.
First of all, it is not so easy to find a perfect place in Biarritz. We choose the Cosmopolitean. In the end we left with mixed feelings: POSITIVE: Friendly staff, hotel is really centrally located, beach and central-market very close. Excellent parking (by use of the hotel-service card for the public parking house) and last but not least an excellent bar with realy creative drinks. NEGATIVE: looks worn (but it is clean!), rooms in the main building are very small. Rooms in the annex building are larger, but are located groundfloor and have therefore blinded windows (so no daylight). Biggest disadvantage: the place is very noisy: during the day from the traffig, during the night from the entry of the night-club opposite. Therefore, it is hardly to let the window open during the nigth. However, if closed, the elderly AC is loud. So you need definitely a pair of ear-plugs if you want to sleep. (at least at the site of the building where our room was located).
GGuest UserCampanile Biarritz When transitting France we nearly always choose Campanile. The rooms are basic but comfortable and pretty much the same whichever one you choose. It is an airport stopover so be aware you could be forgiven for thinking you were on the runway but we knew that having stayed here before. For us the benefit of these is that you can always park, and always get a meal and wine in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast, both at additional cost. This was the case here too but we were disappointed to see no buffet offering in the evening. Every other one we have been to offer this. Despite this the meal we had was lovely. The staff were friendly and helped with translating the menu, so thank you! Breakfast is pretty standard in all the ones we’ve been to. Cereal, croissants, toast, pastries, cheese and ham etc. This one cost around €12. The air con did not work in our room but we were OK despite the weather being on the warm side!!
