I booked at the briardene due to my family using this hotel for functions in the past so I knew it was a good place to stay. The gent at the front desk was so kind and helpful from the get go. Room was really nice and cosy with everything I needed for an overnight stay. 100% will be back again in the future!

A decent place to spend the night. Very narrow stairs though.

Fabulous hotel, with every single detail catered for. Friendly staff and very clean. Beautifully decorated room and you will sleep very well here because it’s quiet. I would not hesitate to stay again. Good shower and nice toiletries. Everything you could possibly need was provided

Went to a Wedding Reception. Food and Service was excellent. Staff were Brilliant Venue is lovely. Only the fact that there is no disabled toilet is the one thing that needs sorting out. As a wheelchair I had great difficulty using the facilities

This hotel is a true little gem in Blackpool. I travel to Blackpool for work on at least a monthly basis and before finding this hotel found my fair share of below par establishments. The food here is absolutely incredible. I’d go as far as saying it’s Michelin star worthy! The rooms are cosy, well furnished and there’s no noise that comes through from nearby rooms. Tracy and Mark are such lovely people, it feels like a home away from home and somewhere that’s easy to relax. This will be my hotel of choice without a doubt for every trip I have to Blackpool.

I visit Blackpool for work on a monthly basis and after trying numerous hotel I found this place! What a find! What an absolute dream! Where do I start… The rooms are clean, tidy and well decorated. I have stayed in 11, 12 and 19! Happy with them all! The doors have a lock, so as a single female stayer, I feel relaxed and safe. The rooms have hairdryers, tea and coffee, bottle water, biscuits, irons, plenty of seating, comfortable bed with extra pillow and blankets in the wardrobe. The staff are super friendly, well after all we are ‘up north’! Mark is friendly, helpful and good for a chat. Then there’s the food! It’s simply delicious! As a vegetarian, the chef always has something prepared for me, and there always a choice. Not only is the food delicious, it’s well presented and clearly made with love! The French onion cushion be more authentic if it had been made in France! Vegetarian food so well thought out, not a piece of pasta in sight! Breakfast is lovely! Huge selection on the cold table and the cooked food is of the same standard as the evening meals! So, if you want somewhere to stay in Blackpool, look no further! There is a bus stop outside and a tram stop a short stroll away, which takes you into the main ***** of Blackpool! There really is no reason not to stay here!

I booked this hotel for 2 nights as I was going to a friends parent funeral .. I like my space and booked the best room in the hotel, When I arrived I was checked in straight away .. I was given room 11, I went to the room .. I thought this isn’t the spacious room I booked .. I went for a shower and found it was only a trickle of water .. being a B&B and valentines day I assumed the hotel was full and lots of people was probably using the showers .. the next morning I looked at the website to check the room I booked .. I had booked an executive room and this was a deluxe . It was small and cramped but it was clean .. I went to the bathroom and the shower wasn’t working just a trickle coming from it .. I went down to reception and spoke to someone letting them know the shower wasn’t working and I had been given the wrong room .. I was told I should press a button at the side of the shower and also told that 4 rooms had been taken out of commission and I should have probably had one of them .. okay fair enough but I should have been told .. I went back up the button wouldn’t push in so the shower was still not working .. I went to breakfast ( very nicely presented ) spoke to the lady again and told her the shower was still not working she apologised profusely and went into the kitchen .. when she brought my breakfast out she said she had spoken to the owner and as a gesture of goodwill the owner would waive the cost of the breakfast . I said I had already paid .. she replied it will be dealt with this evening . I went off to the funeral and no one was around when I got back and went to my room .. I found a notice pinned to the shower door saying run the hot tap in the basin for a few minutes then turn the shower on and press the button on the temperature on the other side of the tap and it should work .. there was a diagram and wooo it worked . Fantastic .. In The morning at check out I encountered the gentleman Who checked me in .. I explained everything to him about the shower . He was quite put out when I told him the owner had said about the previous days breakfast that the cost would be waived and I also told him I had been put in the wrong room .. he was quite adamant I was not . I told him what I had booked and he said oh you wanted a larger room for a single person . I said yes of course I had paid for it and why not !!!! . He then said the rooms was the same price . ( they are not) and that he would have to speak to best western .. I said please do .. his manner from when I checked in to when I checked out was massively different his customer service skills was awful .. how dare I complain that a shower was not working and was put in the wrong room .. but for him not explaining to me on arrival that the room I had booked was out of commission and also not giving me instructions on how to work the shower and becoming belligerent with me on my leaving I won’t be coming back .. the rest of the staff I spoke to was very lovely and kin

Very friendly and extremely helpful staff in this great little hotel. A special mention must go to Rod-the-chef who cooked the best full-english breakfast I've ever eaten in a hotel! Clean rooms, great amenities nearby. Fantastic stay 😁

Fabulous small hotel, extremely friendly staff throughout our stay. The food, breakfast and especially the evening meal were fantastic. Can’t speak highly enough about this hotel. Ideal location for buses and traps, lovely park at Anchorsholm and near sea front.
