Homewood Suites by Hilton Windsor Locks Hartford

This is a great place to stay. Skip the fast food, the rooms are equipped with full kitchen. Pots, pans, even a toaster. They have it all. Great staff that has mastered customer service.

We checked on after a flight at 2am. We had a child and lots of luggage with us. The desk attendant put us in a room in building 5-far from the main building…. It was also on the second floor and this building did not have an elevator. Seemed pretty ridiculous. On the flight out we had an upper level room in a building with an elevator. The attendant clearly knew we had a child and huge luggge as we had it with us at the desk.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. They claimed that I had reserved a room for a disabled guest. I had not. There was nothing indicating that the room was reserved for disabled guests, although the listing did state that the room had accessible accommodations. My problem was not with the room being for disabled guests, and I told them that I would happily accept a similar room that did not have accommodations for disabled guests. My primary concern was with safety. The room that they wanted to offer me was in the back of the building where there were substantial concerns with safety because of the isolation and low lighting on the property and because the area was not the best in terms of safety. Being in the back of the building during very early hours when I would be leaving posed substantial concern for me. The hotel insisted that I could only have a room for disabled and could not have a room with the same configuration that was not disabled. They also refused to refund the room, which I actually did NOT want to do. I merely wanted a room that was safer. ******* spoke with the hotel to see if there was any way they could give me a room with the same bed configuration but that was not for disabled so that I could be in a different part of the hotel that didn't pose a danger. They insisted that my reservation was for a disabled room, and that was the only type room they would offer me. I ended up leaving and getting a room elsewhere and losing $$$

The hotel was convenient to the airport and it was inexpensive but you get what you pay for. Mattress was hard, sheets old; although it was clean, it was very dated. The hotel staff were very nice and professional.

I like the overall quality of the hotel, the location, located near to restaurants and other fast food places. I did not like the razor thin walls. Our room was on the lower level and the upstairs guest made noise throughout the night into the early hours of the morning until we fell asleep.

Pre paid for hotel room in full-description says free long term parking. Was charged a 30 dollar payment upon check in. I would have booked directly with the hotel had I known. Other locations they do t do this. What you lay in the web is the price.

Great location. Front desk person was tremendous- Celese from jamaica! Very helpful. Plus the shuttle service was great to enjoy a local dinner without driving
