Underwhelming. Friendly employees. LUKE WARM SHOWER IN FREEZING WEATHER = DEAL KILLER. Bed comfort and linens, meh. TV remote didn’t work which means you walk to the TV every time you need to change the channel or adjust volume. Travel to Blowing Rock regularly, back to chain hotels for me, there’s no benefit to staying here. Clean it up and modernize it or sell.

Enjoy the historical aspect of this property. It is beautiful, in a great location and the staff are super friendly. The dining and bar options in the facility are convenient and the cuisine is outstanding. This will be a winter holiday tradition. Our second stay here and did not disappoint.

OK, please keep in mind I gave five starts for everything, keeping in mind I am reviewing the HISTORICAL Hotel! Of course this is not a modern building but the place is well kept up, people are REALLY nice there, our family including kids enjoying submerging into a past.

Property was beautiful staff was very friendly. We didn't realize until the middle of the night we had no hot water. I'm sure we could have switched but it was too late and we where already settled in

The Hotel is historic and you will step back in time the moment you enter the door. Beautiful and elegant. The room was huge.

The ambience was awesome. Live music, peace and happiness. It is a 133 year old hotel, so don't expect it to be modern.

Beautiful historic hotel, especially with the Chris**as decorations this time of year. There was live music Saturday evening in the lobby, and the staff was friendly. The rooms are outdated, but that’s to be expected from a historic hotel.
