This place Holiday Inn & Suites Boca Raton - North, an IHG Hotel I booked our room at least 1 week prior and the receptionist told us the room we booked was no longer available and there was no King size bed either. The receptionist told me there was only 2 queens size bedroom available to which I accepted it since there is no other choice. And then this is the crazy part she asked me for payment which I already swiped my card before I even realize that I should been already paid for since I booked it online. It was crazy! When we get into our room I told my husband to call the receptionist again and asked for her name. Later on our phone rang in our room and there was another guy a receptionist too that explained of what happened and he said he will refund us since the receptionist was very new and she doesn’t know that much yet. I was relieved at least the receptionist guy made an effort to call and had clarify things out to which I appreciate it.
For me I understand we are not perfect and we do make mistakes, but if the client already told that she already booked and already paid for, you should at least call for help before make any decisions at your work especially if you’re a new employee to prevent any problems or escalations.
FYI ******* did nothing wrong here, it was the hotel itself who made the mistake! 😑
