The hotel is beautiful and we enjoyed the space in our suite along with the pool, gym and restaurants in walking distance. The only downfall was the very unfriendly staff who lacked customer service skills such as smiling and friendly responses. The first three people we encountered were not friendly and seemed put out by our presence. Finally after going to dinner and coming back we stopped for a drink and the bartender was very friendly and we really appreciated her. We had a 5:00 am shuttle ride set up to go to the airport and he was on time and friendly and helpful. However there was no one to be found at the front desk for checkout so I had to leave my key in the return key basket and hope that was how they wanted us to checkout. So that was an uneasy departure. It would have been an amazing experience to stay there if the staff was friendlier and more accessible.
