Plataran Heritage Borobudur Hotel Reviews

The room amenity and cleanliness are very satisfy. It is spacious and comfortable with a nice view from the balcony. The surrounding is very greenery with paddy fields and trees right in front of the room. The environment attracts birds that you can listen to bird chirping in the morning. The location is also very near to Borobudur within 10mins drive. Lastly, the breakfast has a good variety and choices. It definitely will satisfy your appetite.

The hotel is very close to Borobudur and offers a shuttle service. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a small zoo and a lovely little prayer room! The view from our room's balcony was stunning, and both the breakfast and afternoon tea were exquisite, even featuring some Chinese dim sum! We loved it! We'll definitely book a villa next time!

Really loved the hotel's overall style. The staff were also very helpful, and the environment was clean and tidy. The afternoon tea and breakfast offered a good selection and were delicious! For us, being able to stay two nights in Borobudur, without rushing, and enjoying the Indonesian countryside life, was absolutely wonderful!

Excellent experience in Plataran heritage, shoutout to Mas Ardi (front office) who’s very helpful. Food was amazing, and afternoon tea was perfect. We tried Majestic Heritage Breakfast at Tiga Dari and it was one of our highlight of the trip. Bed super comfy, clean and spacious. Location is perfect with many activities as well. Would love to coming back here again, perhaps with our big family next time.

The hotel isn't far from Borobudur, but you'll still need a taxi to get there. The hotel shuttle runs infrequently, but luckily Grab taxis are convenient and inexpensive. The breakfast was decent with a good variety of options. There's also a restaurant for lunch, offering a fusion of Indonesian and Western cuisine. The hotel even has an amusement park and a zoo, though we didn't visit the zoo due to rain. There's also a small exhibition hall, which seemed to display items related to Buddhist culture. On the fifth floor, there's a bar that also serves food, and their cocktails were pretty good.

Great service and atmosphere! I forgot to close the window before heading out, and some bugs got in at night. The staff kindly helped us clean up again.

The tile in shower is not clean. The music at the roof top, which play from 4-8 PM too loud, can be heard inside my room in 5 th floor.

Had an excellent stay at the Plataran Heritage. Great location, excellent staff. The staff went out of their way to assist when we had an urgent need. Cannot thank them enough for their thoughtful actions.

Beautiful hotel located very close to the ruins, and the surrounding area is lovely for a stroll. The Indonesian restaurant and breakfast are both excellent.

Loved this Heritage hotel. Great pool area, fantastic breakfast and lovely large rooms. The rooms have been modernised and are not as characterful as the rest of the hotel but are very comfortable. The location of the hotel great for going to Borobudur and yet still being in rhe peace and quiet of the countryside. Kudos to the hotel’s ethos of sustainability and respect for Indonesian culture.

This was the most expensive hotel on my Yogyakarta trip, so I had some expectations. First, the location. You can't walk to Borobudur; you need a taxi. The hotel itself doesn't offer views of any attractions. I asked if I could visit their 'mountain' area, and they said there was a restaurant there, but it was fully booked, and you needed to spend money to enter. I heard this hotel is owned by Chinese people, and the front desk staff's tone when saying these things definitely had that familiar 'countryman' feel. The food here isn't cheap by Yogyakarta standards, and honestly, besides the hotel being relatively clean, I can't find any other highlights. At night, the kids' play area was blasting music, but no one was there, which was quite creepy. I think this hotel is quite pretentious and not worth the price.

I guess as a 5-star hotel, you do expect it to have high standards and they certainly do. From the point of check-in and throughout our stay, the service was great. Loved the animal sanctuary and the kids play area. One downside was that the food quality for dinner was lacking.
