"The pros are cleanliness and it's right across from the entrance to Borobudur. The cons include empty streets, abandoned buildings, and nowhere to eat. We had a hard time finding a store to buy water. The hotel restaurant only serves breakfast, and we arrived at 5 p.m., so we couldn't eat there. We had to eat instant noodles in our room. There's a mosque nearby, so we'll have to get up at 4 a.m."

"We had a wonderful time at the Amrta Borobudur. The hotel is charming and the staff was kind. They were very accommodating of a vegetarian diet. The room walls aren't the thickest, but the beds are incredibly comfortable and the room lovely. Some things showed evidence of wear, but everything was very clean. They ask for a deposit via money transfer; this was a first for me, but is common for the area and everything went smoothly. They also arranged pickup from the airport for us."
