Definitely overpriced, often overcrowded, stuffy restaurant space, poor menu choice, long food waiting, limited beer assor**ent. Hardly flexible on table booking, biased on locals rather than foreigners, very young staff ackward on customer service.

Had pre booked as wanted somewhere near music centre for a pre-concert meal. Initial impression from outside was that we had made a mistake. We were wrong! Wonderful service, friendly a**osphere, and great good. Primarily good pub grub. Recommended.

We were in Bradford on Avon for the weekend to empty my late mother’s house, so we stayed in one of the more expensive hotels to make it into a luxury break. We ate there one night, then at the Castle Inn the following evening. We enjoyed our meal at the Castle so much more; portions were excellent, food was extremely tasty, service was great and the bill was reasonable. We would definitely recommend the Castle Inn!

Wow - what can I say, me and my partner came down last week for a delicious meal and had probably the nicest dessert I have ever tastiest in my whole life. Thank you Iwan and Lucy - we really felt you went the extra mile and made our evening very special!

We had a beautiful Sunday lunch at The Castle Inn - one of the best we’ve ever had. The staff, especially the manager, were so friendly, the place was clean, and the food was delicious with nice big portions. Would recommend to anyone travelling this way!

We happened to just pass here on our last night in Bradford on Avon. We popped in for a drink and then thankfully, they had tables free for us to have something to eat. We had the burger which was really nice (and very filling). The staff were very friendly and professional too. Would certainly come here again if we were visiting.

We had a really lovely Sunday lunch at The Castle Inn yesterday. I had the roast chicken, my husband the roast beef and our son the belly of pork. The variety of fresh vegetables was excellent, red cabbage, spring greens, roasted potatoes, carrots and parsnips - all beautifully cooked. The Yorkshire puddings were great and didn’t take over the whole plate as sometimes happens these days. Our one criticism of the food was that the roast beef was a tad overdone but that is a matter of choice. The service was excellent, staff very professional and friendly. Lovely sunny garden but plenty of room inside. Reasonable price.

The best burger I've had in a long time, absolutely bang on! It is at the top of a big steep hill and people still walk up it to go there. So that tells you how good it is. Friendly hard working staff. ..and again the burger beats anything I've had in the 'gourmet' burger restaurants around Bath! I was even warned because they were busy the food would take a while and they were still faster than most places.

An excellent lunch today in the lovely sunny garden at The Castle Inn with friends. We count ourselves fortunate to have this pub as our 'local' and never fail to find a friendly welcome and some people (and dogs) to chat to. The food is always good - outstanding and the menu changes regularly. Great place for real ale (as I understand from my husband). And the view from the garden is wonderful. Definitely worth a visit.
