The wife and I arrived for a short break on 19th Sept 2018. We were greated at the door by the owners with a warm welcome and a Hardy handshake. Our room was amazing and decorated to a very high standard. Included was a 48”tv dvd and fridge, tea making facilities. A shower and modern bath, in a large modern bathroom decorated with a large light up mirror, bale of towels, complimentary shampoos, soaps etc and modern sink and units, that can easily accommodate 2 people at the same time. The bed was large with a memory foam mattress and modern matching bedding for the room. There is also 2 large comfortable leather chairs that are very comfy with a small modern table in between. A large modern wardrobe with extra pillows and lots of coathangers in it and a matching large chest of drawers. Breakfast was chosen from a typed list that you tick including a large variety of cereals, porridge, yoghurt, fresh fruit and a choice of fruit juices. Many different options for breakfast are available as the hosts will inform you, including vegetarian, and a full English with the sausage and bacon sourced from local butchers and farms... So many choices they are all excellent, with a good size portion.. Overall a great stay, with great hosts... You even have a couple of book shelves on the two landings with books, games and even a play station two... Outside are a few parking bays on the side of the road, where you will be given a parking pass free to cover your stay Overall this is a great place to stay with numerous rooms of different occupancy and decor.. Give it a try you won't be disappointed..

Unfortunately we won't be coming back. White towels were rough, old and stained with what looked like motor oil, couldn't use them. Mug stained and teaspoon dirty with coffee on. The breakfast was ok, no cereal just English cooked breakfast. Server was nice and friendly. Rooms need severely updating and decorating, wardrobe dusty on top, kettle has seen better days, dirty drawers with what looks like tobacco. Pillows and duvets had to be used but they were heavily stained, smelt of wee on the last night. No chair to sit on. Owner needs to smile, maybe receive some training in customer service to enable the guest house to have some atmosphere. This could be a very nice place, if time was spent on updating, maintenance and cleaning. Floorboards raised and wobbly and a nail sticking out in the bathroom lino. I realise the economic climate is currently shot, but to receive the money you charge, it needs to reflect. The house was warm! I dont like writing bad reviews, so I aim this to be constructive, for the future.

We stayed for a single night on our visit to Brid, we were welcomed very politely and although we arrived early check in wasn’t a problem Chris was very accommodating. The room was very comfortable and had the usual tea coffee etc it also had a mini fridge and Chris gave us milk so that we could have a brew. The nights sleep was good the room is spacious and we also had a large en suite the bed was comfortable too. Breakfast was spot on good tasty items and cooked to perfection even the poached eggs ticked all the boxes. The hosts even took time out after breakfast to have a friendly chat about how the world works for half hour, before time was up and we had to leave. All in all a great guest house great hosts. This will be our home the next time we visit Brid without doubt.
Home and Away Guesthouse

We came at short notice for just one night, room only and was made to feel very welcome from the first point of contact. Our en suite room was on the 2nd floor and was soo comfortable and spacious, and immaculately clean. It would be great for a family of four as there is a side room with two single beds. An added bonus was the air conditioning which was very welcome as the weather had turned ed very hot. Tea and coffee was made available as was a microwave and small fridge so that was very useful. A good size freeview tv and DVD player are also available in the room with a selection of films, books and games to keep entertained if you so wish. Lots of tourism info is provided in the room including a Bridlington Passport card which gives discounts at many local attractions and eating places. There is a quality shower cubicle in the en suite bathroom too. I'd definitely return when I can as Brid is a great resort and the beach is a very short stroll from the premises. All in all, a great value b&b with the option of room only, or a with a breakfast if you wish.

A good base & well located at the top end of Bridlington, about a 5 mins walk from the nearest beach. Welcoming staff; rooms with en-suite bathrooms; very comfortable bed; tea/coffee making facilities; free WiFi; remote control tv; small selection of toiletries available, etc. And well priced if truth be told. Live entertainment and karaoke on most days of the week in the downstairs bar area - although I don't recall hearing any noise after say, 11.30 pm/midnight during my 2 night-stay. Granted, no breakfast is offered in the price, however, there are more than ample near-by cafes/eateries that offer a wide selection of breakfast/brunch options. You won't go hungry as such! Within 10-15 mins walking distance of the Bridlington Spa (i.e. dance hall, theatre and conference centre) as well.
