Overall, we were extremely disappointed, disenchanted and underwhelmed by the entire experience. I understand that Mirbeau is highly regarded locally (I even saw a placard that said it was a top resort in the world in 2023 according to Forbes), however, in comparison to other places we often visit (Fairmont hotels, Omni hotels, even Kimpton hotels), this visit was very disappointing given the price we were paying. I wanted to tell you our experience in the hopes you can use it to improve for others. We will not be returning, but perhaps this constructive criticism can be used positively. Some specifics: Overall the service in the dining area was underwhelming. On two different occasions we sat down in the Salon area by the fire and waited for over 20 minutes before I had to approach the bar to ask for service, menus, etc. On one occasion we were told we had to wait 25 minutes to even place a food order. That service took over 2 hours to complete. The floor of the salon by the fire was dirty, with food all over it. The wheels on the chairs provided a bit of a nuisance versus a stable sitting arrangement. Meomi, at $22/bottle, should not be $16/glass. That's simply outrageous. The food in general was extremely disappointing. On our final day, our steak frites seemed like it came from a diner. The steak was grey and looked like a discount steak from Aldi's. Our whipped brie was vastly different than previous days. Service in general was extremely slow. When we arrived to grab a late breakfast (at 10:45), we were told the kitchen is closed and we had to wait until 11:45 to get into the lunch service. We were offered "fruit" from a bowl from the Spa as consolation. At a $700/night resort, it confuses me as to why there aren't options for us despite time of day. Waiting to eat for 45 minutes defeated the purpose of our stay. When we asked housekeeping to do the room, our bags had been packed and moved, creating concern about the safety of our items. I have actually never seen this happen in all of my travels. This was confusing and concerning. The shower was unfortunately small and not ideal to have to touch what appeared to be a dirty shower curtain multiple times during a shower. The bathroom floor was very slippery, even with bare feet. We had to resort to putting the non-slip bath mat over the most slippery part. It was concerning and dangerous. I would imagine we are not the only patrons who have mentioned this, thus putting your hotel at risk of a liability suit. When we asked for a late checkout, originally we were told no. Again, at other luxury resorts and the rate we are paying, I have never been told no to a late checkout, especially a checkout on a Monday afternoon. Fortunately, the fellow at the desk did finally grant us the extra hour. When we went to the Spa we were told that there were no available trea**ents to schedule. Looking back, I would assume or hope that upon making a stay reservation, someone at Mirbeau would cal
