Hotels near Hungarian Railway Museum in Budapest

It's a bit far from the city center, but easily accessible by public transport! The facilities were also clean and spacious. Especially the shower room was spacious. There is a Tesco Mart nearby, so you can easily buy drinks and snacks!!

Their initial proposal for a room was unacceptable for a couple of adults, but after my protests, they gave us a decent apartment.The 6th morning the person was trimmed and every day the same.The first two days they didn't tell us how the The garage door opens

We had a reasonably sized 1 bed appt. From other reviews I was worried about noise and bad behaviour of groups of tourists but this is a block of 90 apartments and only 24 are tourist rentals. Others include a number of people with the title ”Dr” so they are not riffraff, if you know what I mean. Our stay so far has been very quiet. Almost no noise from inside the block. It's the centre of a city so there is road noise etc but the windows are triple glazed so keep the noise out very well. Lift and corridors are all v bright and well cleaned. The area is touristy to some extent with loads of good value eating places including a very popular Hungarian restaurant where you need to book called Getto Gulyas. The area as a whole used to be the Jewish ghetto so the huge synagogue is close by but that meant that the are as a whole is quite run down in appearance. I think that makes it a much more interesting feel than some of the more renovated areas. This apartment block is new enough that it's not shown on Google satellite. Apartment was very clean and well equipped with washing machine and dishwasher. Everything you need for cooking on holiday. Furnished exclusively from Ikea by the looks of it but it felt new and not worn out. Bed is comfortable and on the firm side. So far the is absolutely nothing of any significance wrong with the apartment. Maybe we have been lucky by not being near a stag party. But we've only seen one about town in our stay so far. From our experience we would recommend.

A solid performance from a good 'all round' experience. The hotel hasa great location overlooking the Danube. Well placed for nice walks, boat trips and restaurants alike. The hotel serves a thoroughly decent buffet breakfast in pleasant surroundings. The lobby and bar areas are very slick, contemporary styled and show a high degree of imagination. There is a physio /medical facility too. Seems to be very popular - offering a range of treatments. The spa pools are decent and the gym well equipped and a nice atmosphere. Great hotel, excellent stay and would welcome the opportunity to stay there again.

Clean hotel with comfortable bed and generous breakfast selection. We relaxed in the soaking pools every night after walking all day. For a traditional meal with great atmosphere & live music, walk outside, go left & walk 2-3 blocks behind the hotel. Extensive menu & spirits selection at very affordable prices. Resturant: Kehli Vendeglo.

Although the location is a little far from the city center, it's about a 20-minute walk or a taxi if you're good on your feet. Everything else really needs to be praised! Decoration services are good! Great value for money! Far exceeded my expectations!

Excellent location, short walk to the opera house, basilica, Parliament is not too far away. Budapest is a very walkable city and this location aids that. Loved the lobby decoration and the building itself. Room small but does the job. Bed is comfortable and I slept really well. Shower hot and good water pressure & wifi is fast. Room has a safe, kettle, water, towels etc. Tea but no coffee which is odd. The rooms have a theme, mine was Ferenc Puskas the famous football player. Service is incredibly friendly and helpful. No breakfast which is unfortunate. It can be tricky to find. Look for Metropolis sign on the building next to the door. Cost was £48

Large room, large shower but the water had probably a lot of limestone and other irritants so much that my girlfriend and I became blond at the end of the holiday, and I suggest to male available some eye drops because the eyes after the shower immediately became very reddened and swollen, as an Italian I really appreciated the presence of the bidet, lack of privacy because we had two windows that didn't even close completely and we had only one transparent white curtain available, and that was a passage area and everyone could see us inside. We thank the honesty of those who welcomed us and warned about the possibility of receiving unexpected visits: ”thieves and clochards” and for safety they also wrote it inside the room, just right on the wall indicating the exact point from which they would enter. One of the most budget friendly accommodation in the city! It is in a very strategic location where it is just few meters away from bus stop and metro train station. It is also just few bus stops away from famous tourist destinations. It is near grocery store and vodafone where you can buy a sim card (tip for tourists). Rooms are clean and well maintained. They have self service washing and drying machines, common kitchen and bathrooms, common lounge area, vending machines and many more. This place is wheelchair friendly as well for those who need them. Service wise was great as well. I would commend Thomas from reception for being helpful especially when we arrived from airport at 2AM. Overall, we enjoyed staying here. It is truly a great value for money.

I do have a couple of negatives about this hotel but will start with the positives! 🙂 Beautiful hotel in a pleasant area. Close to heroes square and a 30 min walk into the centre. Large room, balcony with table & chairs & stunning bath/bathroom! Staff on arrival at reception were friendly & the housekeeping team are wonderful. Our room was immaculate & cleaned daily. The negatives 😞 The room was lovely & spacious however the beds were extremely uncomfortable & I didn’t sleep well once during our 5 night stay. Our son had a pop up camp bed which collapsed on the first night due to the legs not being properly in place. There is also no tea or coffee facilities in the room although the welcome book states that you can “request a kettle on a first come first served basis”. There is a coffee machine with pods but you need to pay for that (!) Breakfast was plentiful in choice but was cold every morning regardless of what time we went down. This seems to be a regular mention in reviews so probably should be addressed by management. There is air conditioning in the room but it wasn’t easy to master at all. We ended up having to sleep with our balcony door open which left us to the mercy of mosquitoes! (Pack your repellent!) All in all, this hotel was perfect for our stay and even though I’ll be delighted to get a good nights sleep at home, we would definitely stay here again due to the ease of getting around beautiful Budapest. 🥰
