Really good price for a motel/hotel - yes this is a motel but doubles as a hotel for travellers. Room was spacious, air conditioning was good and there was a fridge, tv, computer and shower room. As a solo traveller this was painless, there were many amenities available and staff were friendly. I would book again on my return to Busan.

Advantages: 1. The hotel's exterior and lobby are nice, with a sense of high-end solemnity, suitable for business trips. 2. It was my first time taking a taxi in Korea, and the staff helped me book a taxi. I could pay with cash or credit card, which solved the problem of difficulty in taking a taxi (although I later downloaded Uber and used it successfully), which is very friendly for people who don't know how to take a taxi in Korea. 3. The breakfast environment is good. I personally think the food is OK, not amazing, but my colleagues think it is good.
Problems: 1. Busan was so hot when I went there, and the lobby was cooler than the bedroom. In the morning, I had to take a shower and put on makeup because of the work environment. My God, I was sweating while taking a shower and putting on makeup. I couldn't put on makeup well. The air conditioner was very low and the temperature was similar to that of a decoration. It was really a bit frustrating. 2. The wind power of the hair dryer is a bit low, and I can't dry my hair in the morning. The wind power and speed are also a bit slow, which is really anxious for people who are going on a business trip. 3. I don't like bathrooms with bathtubs, but I feel that most traditional hotels in Korea have bathtubs. I wanted to use the shower head but couldn't pull it out for a long time, which was really anxious. In short, for someone who is used to using a shower head, it was really frustrating. I took a shower in a hurry. 4. I don't know if the welcome drink is the mineral water in the hotel bedroom? 5. I looked at the selling point of the hot spring coupon, but I didn't experience it because I was tired from traveling and didn't have suitable clothes. I felt a little regretful. 6. The room is not very big, there are many mirrors, and the design of the window is relatively antique, but can this paper paste really not be poked? 7. You can see some street views, but it's average. There are more karaoke rooms. I don't know why there are so many entertainment venues in the surrounding environment.

The hotel is not bad, you can take a sauna for free, but the room rate fluctuates up and down, and you can’t get a refund after booking, you must be cautious~

The location is not far from Sajik Stadium and very close to the subway station. There is also a convenience store and Olive Young nearby, so it is convenient.
The free breakfast is simple, so you can enjoy a hearty meal of ramen, cereal, and fried eggs. There is no rice
It was definitely convenient to have a styler. Also, the bidet that goes up automatically is really convenient.
I spent a little longer here unplanned and have already written another review.
As a backpacker, I thought the accommodation was great - finally some privacy. You have your own little room, bed, fridge, shelf, etc. The bathroom is shared but women and men are separate.
There is a communal kitchen with everything you need.
Free water!!!
One day he even unexpectedly brought me watermelon - I was so happy.

In this regard, I searched for this hotel for about 20-30 minutes in hot weather! When I got to the hotel, I came across an annoying receptionist (an older man). I showed him my voucher, he didn’t believe me that I paid for the hotel room, showed my ID card so that he could check my name, he still didn’t want to give me the key to the room, after that I saw the papers where my name was written, that I paid, forced him to show these papers, and after that they gave me the key...
I liked the room, it had everything for a comfortable stay: TV, computer, large bed, comfortable bathroom, hairdryer.
In the morning, from 11:00, the same man started calling me to ask me to leave the room, although it was indicated that I could stay there until 12:00!!!

DDeznadBest hotel in Busan
Address: Good Ol’ Days Hotel, 5 Jungang-daero 41beon-gil, Jung-gu, Busan
Price: 💰💰
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Planning my trip to Busan was like being a kid in a candy store - so many hotels, so little time! But with a ferry ride to Japan on the agenda, I figured, why not pick one right by the port? That's how I stumbled upon the gem that is Good Ol’ Days Hotel.
Now, this place isn't just any hotel; it's a time capsule, a portal to the past tucked away in Jungang-dong, Jung-gu, Busan. The name says it all - Good Ol’ Days. As I checked in, I was greeted with a welcome gift that included stamps and postcards. But here's the twist: I was invited to jot down my present feelings, seal them up, and they’d be sent into the future. It's like leaving a piece of yourself behind for future you to discover - how cool is that?
The lobby was like a treasure trove, with the owner's curated list of local activities and food spots that only the savvy locals knew about. And get this: there's a convenience store right across the street for those midnight munchies - talk about convenient!
Don't even get me started on the rooftop area - bean bags, movie nights, and complimentary drinks from their café upon check-in.
Now, onto the rooms. With only 9 cozy nooks to choose from, each room has its own unique charm. We snagged room 1, and boy, was it a treat. From basic toiletries to a Dyson hair dryer (yes, you read that right!), they've got you covered. The pantry was stocked with goodies like drip coffee, cup noodles, and even beer - perfect for those late-night cravings.
But the real showstopper? The technology. A record player and Bluetooth speaker set the mood, while the absence of a TV encouraged us to disconnect and unwind. And if you're feeling creative, they've got a bunch of stationery and scrapbooking tools to leave your mark and even write a postcard to your future self.
All rooms come with breakfast - a cute picnic basket with cereal, eggs and scones.
Overall, Good Ol’ Days Hotel was more than just a place to rest my head; it was an experience that left me feeling refreshed and ready for the rest of my journey.
CChen_27One of the best hotel in Busan, lounge food and service is quite good and there’s dedicated checkin area at level 33. Cocktail selection is great and many hard liquor.
View from the room is nice also. Room is big and clean, will definitely come back.
GGuest UserGreat location as it takes a 3-minute walk to the subway station. We stay two nights. The rooms are clean, and staff members are helpful and speak English. We got two rooms with higher floor with nice view and some seaview.
They provide skin care product are good. The breakfast is good and is different every day. Since we stay during the weekend, it’s a bit clowndy after 7:20 and may take some time for the elevator during peak hours.
UUMEKAWAMy husband and I stayed for two nights.
The location is about 5 minutes from Haeundae Station, along the main road, so it's easy to find and the beach is close by.
It was nice to take a walk along the beach in the morning.
It's lively until midnight, but it's quiet when you close the windows.
The only amenities provided are shampoo and other amenities, so you should bring your own simple slippers, pajamas, and toothbrush.
There is a Daiso and eMart nearby, so you may want to buy them locally.
GGuest UserHi everyone i think you are reading reviews to see about this hotel so i will try to explain your queries in this comment 1st i would like to say in simple words amazing hotel i definitely recommend this hotel who come for tour to busan, comfortable beds , cleaners come everyday , microwave is downstairs if you want to use and about location i found its so comfortable for visiting places such as busan cable car songde beech, haeundae beech, gwangan beech and its also near to night clubs ....
If you come to busan by bus you dont need to have a taxi to reach the hotel get a metro from nopo station line number 1 get off to busanjin come out from station gate exit 7 just walk 5 minutes and you can see your hotel its on the main road ,for visiting places you can use bus and metro from your hotel ” for haeundae beech and gwangan beech use metro get line number 1 change at seomonyeon take line number 2 get off at gwangan station walk 10 minutes and you will be at beautiful gwangan beech and for haeundae beech same line number 2 you can get off haeundae station and walk about 3-4 minutes you will be on haeundae beech, for night clubs from hotel just get line 1 and after 3 station get off seomonyeon station and walk you will be in night clubs street , for the busan cable car and songde beech from the hotel just go infront of the hotel road use bus number #26 which comes every 10 minutes riding time will be around 22-25 minutes from hotel to songde beech by bus#26 , its so easy to use public transport for travelling in busan from hotel prima no need to waste money for using taxi, from the night clubs to hotel you just need to use taxi and its near so not much money you have to spend 9000-10000 won only !!!! Using subway is also very easy everything writen in english and korean so you can see which exit gate you have to use for your particular places ,and for lunch dinner pizza restaurant subway food all are near to hotel ,i found this hotel at best location and i am writing all these because some people come new for travel and before booking they are confused which location we should go for , trust me its comfortable for everything!!! I hope you will enjoy staying here as we enjoyed
AAnonymous UserI feel scammed.
Pros:
- Location. It is on the busiest street and located in Haeundae so reasonable accessible to most attractions in Busan.
- Space. very spacious.
- Good A/C
Cons:
- View. I paid extra for ”partial ocean view” room and there was a huge difference between pictures and reality. Turns out there is only one room that looks like the picture and the other rooms have window-wall on one side that connects to balcony. The window wall had big and bulky window panes that made it impossible to appreciate the view. What is even crazier is, the balcony had a huge STONE WALL so we didn't even have ant view, HALF OF WHAT WE SAW WAS JUST WALL. We could only see the ocean in a very specific angle in a tiny, tiny spot on the bed. Not worth it and I regret booking the room.
- Noise. the buskers sing until late on weekends. Because we were located right above rhe busking spot, we couls hear every word of lyrics with windows closed and could not really hold conversations without raising our voice. We couldn't hear ourselves think.
- Lack of attention to details. inconvenient. shower is not built properly and water doesn't leak; it streams outside the shower. no bidet. hair dryer is weak and smells old
- Understaffed as hell. we checked out at 10:45am, 15 minutes before checkout time and usually the busiest of time at receptions. One staff is dealing with phone calls, arranging taxi rides, overseeing/managing the luggage storage. We really did not feel safe storing our luggage in the lobby with the staff being so distracted and physically unable to see what happens to the luggage, even though it is right in front of reception the queue was blocking the view.
At least the partial ocean view option is not worth the money at all. I feel scammed and strongly recommend other options of similar price range or ocean view hotels near Gwangan-li, since Haeundae is a very touristy region. You'll get burned out after two nights of staying in the neighborhood.
CCarla Andreea MelisaSteven at the front desk is so nice and helpful! He assisted us with booking a boat cruise for much cheaper than the usual market price. The rooms are cozy but more than enough if all you’re looking for is a bed to sleep in. The location is right in the heart of a beach area with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby.
Llove2travel2🏨 Fairfield by Marriott Busan
314 Haeundaehaebyeon-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea, 48099
Stayed two nights in Fairfield by Marriott Busan to be close to Marina City for an event in mid October 2024.
📍Location: Fairfield by Marriott Busan is located in a less eventful part of Busan. Not the best pick if you want to be where the action is. I have stayed near the Busan train station and in Nampo previously and enjoyed those parts of Busan more.
🚕 Accessibility: it takes about 15 minutes' walk to the hotel (with luggage on uneven roads) from the drop off point at What The Burger which is where the Haeundae Intercity Bus alighted customers from Incheon Airport. The bus journey takes close to 5.5 hours with two rest stops and a stop at Nopo Terminal.
Kakao Taxi fare from Fairfield by Marriott Hotel to Haeundae Intercity Bus Terminal costs about KRW5000-6000.
🛌🏽 Room: No complaints for the price point and what you see is what you get as befitting a Marriott property. There is construction opposite the hotel so paying for the city view on a high floor will avoid that if you are bothered by a construction view. The sea is not nearby so look for another option if that is important.
👣 Amenities: I did read another review about the paper thin room slippers and wisely packed a pair from home.
🍲 Food Options: I arrived at night and didn't find too many food options in the evening as everything seems to be closed early. There are convenience shops nearby and a Paris Baguette a few blocks away.
Hotel breakfast is available at Bistro 314 on Level 2 of the hotel at a discounted rate of 16,500KRW for hotel guests if you book in advance.
🏋️ There is a fitness centre on Basement 1 next to the self service coin laundry.
Rating: 3⭐
Stay here if you have business nearby and want to save time travelling but not as a tourist with limited time wanting to explore the best of what Busan has to offer.
GGuest UserThe location is good as it is very close walking distance to shopping streets and the price is affordable. Room is equipped with a smart TV. I did not need to use my travel adaptor as well. Basic toiletries available. However, the bath towel is in face towel size. Clothes hanging area is on top/in front of the dresser. Things to note if staying here. Hotel is located upslope from the streets. (relatively steep) Most of the times (like a 9 out of 10), I was unable to book a taxi from my hotel due to the kakao taxi app prompting that cars cannot enter my area (they will outline the roads on the app to show the roads that cars cannot enter).I had to walk some distance out to another place to book a taxi. However, there was no restrictions to drop off at this address but many times, the driver will also drop me somewhere further away to walk in. Both the guy & lady (seems like lady boss) receptionists seems enthusiastic for a normal conversation but can become rude when we enquire or request for help. I had difficulty switching on the aircon when I first checked in and called for help. They refused to come and help and the instructions was vague as all I can understand was ”the switch is below the TV”. I later found out that it is common for aircon switch to be on the TV remote controller in Korea after I checked in to another hotel. It was after the third call when we flared up that someone came to help. But the help was of course also a rude one. Another thing to note is that they only give one access card and this access card is also the only card that manages the power in the room. If you insert another card in the slot for power, they will switch off your electricity after a while. This means you will not be able to probably sleep/shower in the room if your partner goes out since you will have to be the one to open the door, unless you can stay in the room without any power. You will also not be able to charge your phones/power banks etc while you are out and the refrigeration will also be off. The receptionist have called us via room phone and scolded us for putting a foreign card in. I think this is upsetting as we usually have more than one card in other hotels. The other hotel that I booked in Seoul even had a ready card slotted in for power and we still had 2 cards for access. Another downside: There was some form of leak from toilet bowl area and I cannot make out where its from. There will be a typical pee stench after awhile. Both the automatic bidets and manual bidets did not work in my toilet. I am not sure if this only happens in my room thus this is just for reference. Otherwise my toilet was huge and the water jet was strong. Do note that they allow early check in but it is chargeable. When I reached 2 hours earlier, I was told that their hotel does not have early check in. After asking further, they told me to pay 20,000 won if I want to check in early and I got my room immediately. I would have preferred if they told me from the start that early check in is possible for a fee.
QQasymWe loved the hotel, as a service, they upgraded the room with the balcony one. The quality is very worth it considering its price. Very clean, neat, comfortable, and location is quite good (near downtown part of the city 🏙️). The view was astonishing to the sea 🌊😍
