Excellent location, staff courteous, friendly and helpful. The whole hotel was kept very clean and tidy. Food and drink choices good, with very good service in the restaurant and at the bars.

I have stayed in Barceló Aguamarina for a duration of 5 nights. I was amazed by the location of the hotel with breathtaking views. Amazing food, drinks and friendly staff. Small but comfortable room. Would definitely recommend for solo travelers, couples and families with small children.

This is an older hotel in a fantastic location. Most staff are helpful but some need better training. The building is a little tired and some maintenance on a/cand electrically is required. Restaurant experience is variable by time and day. Hot food was often tepid, and desserts could often be part frozen. This was an off peak visit and i think staffing would struggle at busier times. No options to dine outside fixed meal slots. No availability for snacks or lighter meals. Buffet or nothing is the modus operandi. Our room was below restaurant so woken to chairs being scraped across floor from 6:45. Fantastic views of beach and bay though. Not as good as other Barceló hotels we have visited though. Needs improvement

Our stay was fantastic. The best part was probably the entertainment staff: Raquel, Carlos, Andreas and Lorena: Thank you!

My boyfriend and I decided to book a random weekend away and this place came up so we just went for it, this ended up being the best decision we have ever made because it was the most gorgeous country ever. The staff were amazing, the food was, our room was amazing with a beautiful beach view from our balcony. The only thing that we didn’t enjoy was how cold the pools were but that didn’t matter to us because we swam in the sea, which was so clear you could see the fish below you. Would 100% recommend!!

Visited with my mum in June/July last year. Don’t get me wrong - location, next to beach, nice views were all lovely. However it is very much an all inclusive/brits abroad vibe which we perhaps naively didn’t anticipate. We had a lovely time but have given 3 stars as I wouldn’t say it was perfect. If you want a bed you have to go and reserve at the crack of dawn which isn’t exactly relaxing but it’s what we had to do to ensure we’d be able to relax all day. The pool at the front is often in the shade and the bigger pool at the back is a kids pool and doesn’t overlook the sea. The worst part for us was the food. Breakfast was fine, but it felt like a canteen. So so loud and busy that you just want to get out. We were half board but always had lunch and then went out for dinner. Also same food every day and same restaurant so no variety. Definetly not 4 stars and a lot for what it is, but pleasant stay. Wouldn’t go back though x

Lovely hotel, amazing entertainment team special thanks to them. My daughter Darcie is still talking about them now 3 weeks on what lovely people from all over the world. We loved the entertainment but found it a little full on at times when babies were sleeping by the pool but we wouldn’t of been without them! Food was good for all inclusive just a shame no outdoor seating in the restaurant as my one year old found it a bit busy. Also 2 choices of wine would be nice rather than one. Overall a great location and hotel for a family holiday only real let down was the lifts. We waited up to 20 mins at times and had no choice as we had a double buggy and everything is on separate floors but wouldn’t let that put you off x

My friend and I had an amazing week at Barcelo Aguamarina. Its position directly onto the beach in a picturesque bay was beautiful. We both had double superior rooms, which came with sea views. The rooms were modern, with huge beds and the best pillows ever! The bathrooms were lovely and had complimentary extras. The rooms and hotel were kept immaculately clean at all times. The reception staff were absolutely brilliant! They recommended tours, booked them for us, gave local trip advice and booked taxis for us whenever we wanted. They were very friendly and super efficient too. We were half-board, and found loads of choices available for breakfast and dinner every day. The best buffet food I have come across in a hotel, and always something for everyone. The restaurant staff worked quickly and efficiently as well. We had fun shopping in Cala d’Or town, just a few minutes walk away, where there are many places to eat and drink. The Marina was gorgeous and well worth a visit, and we highly recommend Waves bar for delicious food and drinks, but there are many to choose from there. We got a taxi back at about €6 booked in office close to the sea end of the Marina. Santanyí is also a lovely old village with more shops and plenty of restaurants and a pleasant half day visit. We really had lovely time, and highly recommend the Barcelo Aguamarina, and would come back again.

This is a nice hotel with great staff and our stay here was most enjoyable, that said, there were several things which could be improved. The outside area was hosed down each morning sometimes as late as 9 o'clock which meant that guests were slopping about in pools of water on their way to the steps down to the beach - quite dangerous. In every other hotel I have stayed at the outside cleaning was finished by 7am before the guests were up and about. The outside showers had no drainage and consequently there was always a pool of water to be negotiated when visiting the beach. The lift situation is terrible, one was out of action for the duration of our stay and from reading previous reviews it is apparent that this has been the situation for months. The lifts themselves are very small and with only two in service guests were having to queue for quite some time. I would advise choosing a room on the 3rd floor to avoid having to use them. The dining room was very noisy and finding a table was not always easy. It was a place to eat and leave as quickly as possible rather than somewhere to have a leisurely or romatic meal. The food stituation was a bit strange; there were roasts of turkey and pork but no hot vegetables to accompany them - just salad or chick peas. On one occasion there was a delicious looking dish of chilli con carne which no one tried as there was no rice to accompany it. Some thought needs to be given to making a balanced meal rather than offering random dishes with nothing to complement them. The desserts, however, were good with some delicious pastries and cakes on offer. On the whole this is a nice place to stay and the location is great but I'm not sure it is quite 4*.
