Hotel Best Maritim

On arrival we had to wait 5hrs until our room was ready after travelling since 2am from the UK. We then got given a tiny room which was t suitable for our needs as a family. We asked to upgrade however reception staff told us there was nothing available as the hotel was fully booked. Then after talks with the manager, something suddenly became available in the “fully booked” hotel. Location of the hotel is perfect and views from our room is stunning (we are still on our holiday). Food - the food needs MASSIVE improvement. Although there is a lot to choose from, it’s the same stuff every day. The food is stone cold by the time you get to your table. The rice I have had was not all cooked. I have suffered with a bad tummy (the poops a long with severe cramps) from the food and my 3 year old daughter is currently unwell (sickness) because of the food. (She is a picky eater, she also had a sickness bug 5 days prior to flying therefore we know it isn’t a bug she’s caught & it’s from the food). My parter has also had a bad belly from the food here two on day 2. Staff im the restaurant are lovely and polite. We came here with my disabled mother & elderly grandmother who were barged out of the way several times by rude guests. Cleanliness - the cleaners are very polite, rooms are cleaned every day which is good. Fresh towels daily & bins changed daily too, also rooms swept and mopped and beds made. Spa - the spa facilities are good they also provide two hours a day where kids can go into the pool which is nice as the pools outside are freezing but the spa one is heated. However the lady on the reception to the spa is very rude. Her customer service is shocking. Sky BAR - I am unsure why this is called a sky bar, when you have to go downstairs despite it being located on the rooftop, to get your drinks. You also have to pay €5 per person to get on there. The hot tubs are ice cold. But the views however are stunning. Would be nice to have a bar up there. ENTERTAINMENT - kids entertainment is fantastic the entertainers for the kids are an absolute credit to this hotel and why we have it the stars we did they get everyone involved a young woman & man. Views from hotel are amazing, With all this in mind we will not be returning to this hotel. Different entertainment every night which is fabulous. Such a beautiful hotel but needs a lot of improvement with this in mind we won’t be returning.

Hotel was clean and well maintained, Good location- 1 hour steady pace to Cambrils and same to salou, Food was ok and good choice Rooms clean and quiet Drinks reasonably priced around €3.60 per pint Staff did struggle with English Hotel is on the beach and has lovely views of the sea, Evening meal buffet style €18 per person, it was ok and standard buffet food, nothing exciting Bus stop outside the hotel and a good service I would go back

This hotel is perfect location on the edge of Salou,quiet for families but you can commute to salou or Cambrilles cheaply on bus.Hotel is spotless,we are returning guests,food is excellent,lots of local fish dishes,if you are not into that lots of alternatives.we will definitely be back

Room was snug but what we had booked and the photos reflected that. Great location with plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Pool area was lovely and lunch was well worth the money as there was such a wide selection - we booked room only. Reception staff were friendly as were the housekeeping team and bar staff were ok. Not capable of taking multiple orders though so longer waits than necessary sometimes. Kids entertainment seemed to be on late 9.30pm?! After that the entertainment was mixed but hard to please different nationalities I guess. We came out of season which suited us, I can imagine it’s packed during the summer months and full of kids. Cambrils is beautiful, 30 minute walk to the Port but absolutely gorgeous. Lovely stay, thank you ☺️

We had a 3 night stay in this hotel and enjoyed everything the hotel had to offer! Great location on beachfront. We had a room overlooking the pool, and beach. Normally this would be ideal but it rained for the 3 days we were there only stopped a few hours before we were due to leave. Rooms were very modern. Breakfast and dinner was lovely with a great selection of foods on offer. Staff were very pleasant and helpful on the desk. Can definitely recommend a visit will return again. It was also great value.

Hotel very clean and well maintained. Great to have tea/coffee making and fridge in the bedroom. There is also a safe in the room free if charge, I had an issue with the safe probably my fault, we reported it and the maintenance man was with us in less than 10mins. The dining room is really busy but always lots of food and lots of choice. All the staff in the hotel are pleasant and friendly, this is our 3rd time here always enjoy our stay.

Spent a week at Best Maritim. The hotel is in a lovely location beside the sea. Rooms are adequate, cleaned every day, staff are friendly and helpful. Food was plentiful but, as mentioned in other reviews, the hot choices were often luke warm. Don’t know if this was the cause but I came down with food poisoning on the last evening of our holiday, was very ill and only after one week am I feeling well again. I know I was not the only resident to suffer in this way and for this reason, I would not return to this hotel.
