Motel 6 Carlsbad, CA - North

Horrible business practices at this Motel 6. Worst experience someone could have with a hotel, on a Friday. No rooms were available but evidently I had caught the last minutes of their lower rate. How could I know? Man slammed down the phone on me. I was lied to, with an hour to vacate. There were plenty of rooms just for 15.00$ more. I had a guaranteed and paid reservation. Jerks. And they never tried to help me or make things right. Don't trust these people. Don't stay here longer term. If you need basic empathy or have a problem no one can really help, which is a bad situation.Rooms are great but the user friendliness is absent. I felt discrimated against. What apology could fix something like that or how this management disrespects its paying guests? Terrible service.

I had a terrible experience. -The hotel was extremely dirty. We found a towel full of pubic hairs under the bed. Clearly no one had cleaned under the bed for months or years. The floor was sticky. -There was no outlet close to the beds. I had to charge my phone in the bathroom. -It was non smoking but 3 different guests were smoking just outside their room door. The smell entered our room on several occasions. -There was no shampoo or conditioner, no access to a hairdryer nor coffee maker. -I had to mail a package to the hotel, I called less than 48 hrs before my arrival. They informed me it had just arrived and they would keep it for me. When I got there no one knew anything about it. Come to find out, they had sent it back. I needed it then. It caused problems to not have it. The staff never apologized, to the contrary they blamed me for having a package sent there. -When I brought up some of these issues, the staff took no responsibility, but blamed the other staff members. The experience was so bad that we will never stay in a Motel 6 again. We stayed here to save money on parking at Legoland. Walking was up a steep hill most of the way. Not worth it. I should have paid parking and stayed at a normal hotel. This was one of my worst hotel experiences and I have been to MANY throughout my life.

Great prices always and great location! Nice staff as well… very comfy and clean and always feel safe which is more than I can say at any of the motel 6s where I’m from lol… we come down here a lot so I like that they have such great deals and don’t make you pay some crazy deposit that takes over a week to get put back on your card! So it’s pretty awesome
