My family and I booked adjoining rooms months in advance.
When my son and his wife arrived, they were told the room was not ready yet since it was an adjoining room (it was about an hour before check in time). We then left to get lunch and came back to check in.
At that point we were told there were no adjoining rooms available. When the two of us made a surprised look on our faces, the clerk, Judy Snell, looked at us and said “I don’t know what you want me to do, someone needed the room last night, and so we gave it to them!” Even though just an hour earlier she stated that the room was being cleaned. She then proceeded with maybe you should have booked the room for two nights if you wanted adjoining rooms!
Not once did she apologize to us. She was rude and very unprofessional.
We had booked the adjoining rooms because my husband and I were going to be babysitting the two small children while they were at a wedding. My daughter in law even called the hotel over a month ago to make sure that our reservation with the two adjoining rooms was confirmed! At that time she was told everything was good.
It was bad enough that the reservation was not right, but when Judy started with her rude attitude and comments that really did it for me. I have never experienced a situation like this before.
The hotel was very clean, and comfortablle.
The cleaning staff were very friendly!
But that first impression at the front desk really left a bad taste in my mouth.
