Nice hotel, but very difficult to find the entrance due to the marquees erected for the restaurant and bar directly outside it. Just to note, if you have anything over a weekender size suitcase,be aware there are narrow steps and stairs to carry them up.
The room itself was stunning but unfortunately not very practical, a bath stuck infront of the window making it difficult to close the curtains or open the window for any fresh air & leaving little room to put toiletries.Tried to use the Dyson fan to cool the room down, but it didnt work.
Considering the room cost over £200+ for 1 night there was no breakfast included. Breakfast was in the outdoor restaurant so expect to pay an additional £25+ per couple.
On returning to the hotel in evening, we found the gates locked, with bouncers asking for proof we were residents. The reason for this was because the venue also has a very popular & busy bar.
Ourselves and the other couple we were staying at the hotel with wanted to have a drink in the hotel bar before retiring, however, we found the bar in the hotel closed and the only way we could buy a drink was to either fight our way through the gin bar (we gave up!) or go into the marquee bar (outside the hotel grounds) and buy a drink, then take it back into the hotel. Not very customer friendly.
On the plus side the bed, and especially the pillows, were amazing and we had a good nights sleep.
Overall because we had to pay extra for breakfast I thought it was poor value for money.
