My husband and I visited the Sol Costa Atlantis Hotel for a week in April 2024. We were very much looking forward to our stay at this particular hotel as having viewed it online, we thought it looked rather nice. Our arrival at the hotel was quite late due to having experienced a flight delay therefore, we were feeling quite tired, however, we found that the reception staff were not very welcoming or friendly, they just went through the process of getting us checked in, there was no ‘Welcome to our hotel, have you stayed with us before’, nothing of that nature, no welcome drink was offered. Once checked in, we went to our room which considering it was a 4* hotel, we were surprised at how basic the room was. We unpacked and tried to open the Safe to store our valuables. We were unable to open it so being tired, we decided to deal with everything the following morning. We were booked on a half board basis so, we got up the next morning to go for breakfast and both said how incredibly warm the room was and, because of the room temperature neither of us had slept well. We checked the air conditioning but were unable to deal with whatever the issue was. We then went for breakfast which, unfortunately, wasn’t great. We absolutely appreciate that with buffet food, due to it sitting, it can get cold quickly but, having said that, there were a lot of people staying at the hotel if the dining room was anything to go by which meant that the turnover of food from the buffet was quick so, I wouldn’t have expected the food to be as as cold as it was. Also, the toasters which were in the dining room, there just wasn’t enough of them and then, to make matters worse, when you put a slice of bread through the toaster you had to repeat the process 2 to 3 times as the bread wasn’t toasting!! Then we had the coffee machines of which you had to queue for a considerable length of time to get a coffee as again, for the amount of people, there weren’t enough coffee machines. After breakfast we went to reception to report the air conditioning issue. The chap with whom we spoke said he would get a maintenance person to fix whatever the issue was. We informed him we were out for the day so the technician could go into our room at any stage. We also asked about the Safe in our room to which the chap on reception advised that we would have to pay to use the safe. I was appalled to hear this saying to him ‘That’s daft, surely if there’s a safe in the room, it forms part of the room, it’s a bit like saying, there’s a wardrobe but you can’t hang your clothes in it until you pay to use it’. My view is if you’ve paid for a room, then you should have access to everything in that room especially the safe as it doesn’t cost the hotel any extra to allow guests access to the safe in their room!! After our day out, we came back to our room only to find that the air conditioning hadn’t been fixed much to our disappoin**ent and to make matters worse, when we reported it

Firstly this is the first I have ever had to complain about and we have stayed at several 4* hotels over a number of years. in Tenerife. The food was awful, sloppy cold, tasteless... not sure how you can even get scrambled egg wrong!! Serving staff had long faces, no morning greetings! The only good thing I could say is that the rooms were pretty clean & average modern like standard but air-conditioning was very noisy & phone in room did not work. All TV channels in foreign language..not UK. We paid for half board but ate out every night at some lovely restaurants in the area. Highly recommend self catering only, unless you want to waste your money & pay double for food expenses.

The hotel is spectacularly located, the facilities are somewhat antique but very clean, especially the bathroom, the small pool is pleasant and clean. Recommended

Very successful stay at the hotel. Rooms very comfortable Service at the highest level Breakfast the best we have eaten so far in hotels, everything fresh, very good quality and beautifully served. Lunch in the hotel restaurant also good. Spa beautiful, massage good - although it lasted shorter than the purchased package, hairdresser also good. Subtracts a star for the bill at the end. I wasn't going to check, but I was thrown by an extra massage service in the spa that I didn't have. I do not know if it was done on purpose to pay more, but in a hotel like this it should not happen, especially since the signed bills did not include such a massage. Additional time unnecessarily spent at the reception. Distaste remains.

This is a really good hotel. The breakfast is fantastic, and we took evening meals as well, when we realised what a bargain they were. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a short walk from the town, an easy flat-ish walk, and near to a lot of interesting places. A lot of Germans choose to stay in this hotel for the winter months, which we saw as a good sign - they expect a lot from holidays. We found them very pleasant and friendly.

Was there in September all inclusive.hotel was dated but clean,bedding changed everyday.some of the staff was great but quite a few was very anti British especially the grey haired lady behind the bar at night absolutely disgusting very rude and ignorant she upset quite few British people whilst I was there.one night when all inclusive had finished I bought a drink 7euro gave 20 euro note got 3 euro change she wouldn't have it even had a witness who see me do it but still she wouldn't have it she was aggressive in her attitude so I gave two gestures back to her.went to reception to complaine the guy didn't want to have anything to do with it went to reception morning after to see manager who again was anti British very rude and all he did was back the bar woman up its OK for her to short change me by 10 euro and wave her arms about and raise her voice yet I'm the guilty one in all this managers coment to me was I was aggressive to her,so I get reported to the tui rep who really didn't want the hassle wasn't really interested in my comments to defend myself.absalute disgrace.as for the food if any British people say the food is good then it must be me who's picking wrong food especially the cold fried eggs.stay clear of the hotel.

The location of the hotel is good, the room type has a large balcony and kitchen, facing the downstairs square, it is also very lively at night, 24 hours front desk service, there are two buildings, one building is estimated to be a long-term tenant (the building where the front desk is located), the other The building is a hotel room, and the house numbers in the two buildings are the same. . . Go back to the front desk and find an employee to take to the hotel building. The service is not bad. There are 2 other points to be noted by the hotel and Ctrip: 1. The location of the hotel (front desk) is different from that of google, and there is no mark on the door of the front desk; there is a large hotel sign on the other side of the building (Figure 1), but there is no entrance; on the other side (google positioning point) there is a A very small H sign. After entering, go around the maze and turn back to the front desk position. In fact, the front desk location is in the parking lot. It is not easy to find the front desk location by pulling the luggage around. 2. The child policy is different from the reservation page. Children who do not have an extra bed written on the reservation page are free of charge. When the check-in is done, the front desk says no, but later they say nothing. They checked in directly and gave a 3-bed room without adding an extra. money. When booking European hotels, the age of children is filled in clearly according to the reservation rules. In particular, children's policies are paid attention to, and the corresponding room types are selected according to the rules. Obviously, there are still some discrepancies between the information on the reservation page of some hotels and Ctrip. Ctrip and hotels need to have clear rules to avoid trouble.

Our second visit here and we have seen a decline in standards. The lifts breakdown on a regular basis, we are on the 11th floor! Not great, there are many elderly people here with mobility problems. I am vegetarian and have really struggled with the restricted availability of good vegetarian dinners. Filling up on sweets, I'm feeling quite unhealthy. We have both been ill during our stay upset stomach and chest infections, as have many other guests. We have reported this, we believe the hotel is well aware of the issues. Some cleaners are wearing masks and gloves. Last year I returned from here with covid. The rooms although cleaned regularly are shabby/tired. I question whether disinfectant is used? Is there cross infection between the rooms? We were offered the chance to move hotels before departure due to the beaches being closed due to pollution, we declined as this hotel is for adults only which suits us better. Could the sickness here be due to the environmental issues? Maybe? Dress code falls short of expected standards, there are rules which are not enforced. Although you are not allowed to reserve sunbeds people still are, this does not appear to be monitored We havent sat by the pool at all. The entertainment is somewhat lacking, such a shame for a large hotel. We most probably, sadly, may not visit again!
