TH Lazise - Hotel Parchi Del Garda

We have stayed in lake Garda before and loved it. We stayed here this time because we thought we’d do a trip with the theme parks for the kids. Hotel accommodation in the area surprisingly limited but this looked like the best. This hotel was disappointing. Good things: pool is nice temperature although you have to wear a swimming hat (a first for me) which you have to buy. Food quality is good but limited choice. Pleasant bar. Bad: you have to pay a local tax when you arrive (£60). The room- damp in the room and bathroom, toilet so close to the counter you have to sit sideways! Tissue dispenser instead of loo roll - all cheaper quality than a premier inn. No tea and coffee facilities, no minibar/water. Nowhere to buy water, small hotel shop only open week days for two hours. Facilities: the hotel feels tailored for conferences, nothing for families, no games room etc. no entertainment of any sort, nothing at all to do other than the pool which is pleasant but basic. Surprising given it’s the closest decent hotel to the theme parks. There is a shuttle bus to the parks (limited times) The lake is a good half hour walk away and a bit of a climb, no ferry here so no way to get around the lake. Thee is not really a local village, this hotel feels like a business centre in the middle of a field on a main road. We anticipated this a bit but assumed we’d be able to get around. Amazingly the hotel could not get us a cab - they said all local cabs were airport only. So if you haven’t hired a car you are stuck here with not much to do other than the parks. Hardly any British tourists (don’t think this hotel is covered by package companies) and English is not always spoken so be mindful if you don’t have a bit of basic Italian. Worst was our experience one morning. Breakfast is buffet style. My wife grabbed a croissant to take back to the room for our daughter who didn’t feel well enough to come down, and she got screamed at by one of the staff (who spoke no English) literally screamed at. Wife in tears, disgusting way to treat any guest. Really shocking. We would certainly never stay here again.

Staff was great and so was the hotel. Very comfortable clean and nice room. Perhaps a little over priced for my opinion. Recommend you hire a car to get around if traveling around Garda as taxi can result expensive as it’s a bit away from center.

Great stay in the hotel! Fantastic location for a visit to the lake Garda and of course Gardaland on a walking distance from the hotel. Big car park what is free of charge. Breakfast a good choice. Clean and comfort rooms. Cleaning every day.

One of these places where you are treated as a number, not a guest. Nobody cares if you are there since they have guests anyway. Biggest upset was the closed pool at 29 degrees sunny weather. You wrote it in the description, fair enough but what’s the point closing the pool so much earlier? It doesn’t even need to be heated but would have been nice to cool down. 190€ per night in off season is overpriced. With friendly staff and an open pool it would have been okay. Tons of places around where you feel more welcome than here. Clearly not coming back.

The kindness and helpfulness of the staff starting from the first e-mails until departure. We got a big room with a terrace, the weather was great. The position is excellent and 10 minutes from Gardeland walk and 10 minutes to the north to the first place with a great bar and good restaurants. Perhaps a small complaint for breakfast is more fruit because there are many guests and it needs quick replenishment. Recommendations to everyone.

bad experiance, we had a problem with Andre the night guard, we came back from gardaland at 23.30 the bar in the hotel was closed, and also restuarents nearby, so we ordered pizza and sat to eat in the public area, but he didn't let us eat and drink beacause we didn't order from hotel, he talked rudly and unpatient, he even didn't let us pack.....stood above our heads to go to our rooms, we were 14 persons wich room will include us Mr Andre? 2- the night between 28-29.8 there was flood all hotel, and there was no electricity and no water, the hotel let us sleep in darkness, they didn't change hotel, they don't have emergency lights is rooms, it was horrible night that won't forget ever.

Positive: - Nice room and spacious bathroom. - Good rest - Great breakfast and dinner. (Excellent waiters!) - Great swimming pool (be advised, cap is required) Negative: - Unhelpful / Unfriendly reception desk. The hotel informs you that you can check in early if there is a room available. We tried to check-in earlier and the reception desk informed us of the check-in time. She didn’t even pretend to look at the computer. - The store luggage is in an unattended area (not a room) near the entrance of the hotel. - There is a 3€ rental fee for the pool towels (plus a 10€ deposit). I haven’t seen that in a 4-star hotel….. ever!! It’s a good hotel, and an excellent choice if you are planning to visit Gardaland. However, we didn’t “feel” that we were staying in a 4-star hotel

Enjoyed a wonderful holiday again. Breakfast and dinner were again excellent.Also don’t forget the staff. We would love to come back to this special and beautiful location. Thank you for a nice holiday and maybe see you next year.

Everything exceeded my expectations - nice hotel (food, room, pool,beach,bar, parking garage,...). Gardaland park is very near, 10. min walking away. Free bus transport to Movieland. We will come back soon again.
