Steel House Copenhagen

Considering the price I was paying the room was really small without much walking space. I could barely open my luggage. but I guess it is Copenhagen. The bathroom had a silly design as it had a motion sensor light. But the sensor is outside the shower cubicle, so while showering the light kept getting turned off. Some of the staff was also pretty snobbish and unfriendly, when I had troubles going up to my room because the app suddenly had an error, I had to ask the reception. The guy there was looked really stoned and rolling his eyes before proceeding to helped me. Fortunately the bed was comfortable to sleep in and the location was good. I would think twice about staying here again.

If you are not staying long in the hotel then it is fine. The location is perfect. However toilet and bathroom is small.

the location is close to a metro station and room is suitable for friends travel! well, if is everyone with big luggage, the might be not so much space for all. and do remember to bring your own amenities:)

I would suggest Next guest house over steel house. The gym is smaller here however you have to pay per day instead of throughout your stay. Kitchen is smaller and is like a war zone during busy hours, ventilation isn’t great either. I was staying on the upper bed and it was really hot at night.

Despite being in a huge building, the room has good sounds proof. Very modern hostel

Steel House Hostel was great for my 4 day stay in Copenhagen. I stayed in a 6-person women's room, and got assigned an upper bunk. The room was quite nice (a bit cramped but nothing out of the ordinary), and I liked how high the bunk was- above head height when people were standing, so it didn't feel like others were in my space, and there was plenty of space to sit fully up in the bunk. Bed and pillow was comfy. Lockers were a good size (fit my carry on suitcase plus a backpack; others had bigger suitcases that didn't fit), but the locking mechanism was a bit challenging- basic idea but seemed to be mechanical issues). There was a thermostat that could be set as low as 17C (~63F), which was the setting in my room, but this didn't work well- it was definitely in the low 70s (F) in the room and felt quite warm for sleeping. The fans in the bathroom and shower (separate, which was good for a shared room) didn't seem to work (no knob apparent for the shower; there was a knob in the bathroom but it didn't do anything), so the room got humid after one or two people showered. The hostel is huge, and almost more like a hotel. WiFi was spotty or absent in the room, but plenty of common areas to sit or work downstairs. Kitchen was frequently used, and I took advantage of the kitchen fridge for having skyr and fruit for breakfasts (costs 25DKK for your whole stay). I also rented a bike for a couple days. It seemed overpriced (~135 DKK for 24hr) but can't beat the convenience, and the bike (standard city cruiser) worked just fine.
