The location is a bit far away from tourist attractions, so if you have a car, it is free parking and convenient, but it seems uncomfortable to use public transportation. The facilities are good and the rooms are spacious, so

These tourist apartments are in a quiet part of the historic district, an easy 10 minute stroll to the Mezquita and the Jewish Quarter, with several restaurants and cafes nearby, but blissfully away from the crowds and noise. Our apartment (7) was very clean and comfortable, on the top level of the building. Hotel pictures are accurate — there is a bedroom and a separate sitting area with kitchenette, sofa, dining table and kitchen island with chairs. You can see the Mezquita bell tower from the sitting area windows. The air conditioning worked perfectly, bed was quite comfortable, and water pressure/temperature in the shower were good. The owners have thoughtfully included many things for the comfort of their guests, including coffee and tea, and detergent pods for the dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a supermarket just around the corner, which is very convenient. If you arrive by car, it is not hard to navigate to the hotel, and the hotel staff will accompany you to a nearby private garage to park. We saw in the brochure in our room that you can arrange in advance to have breakfast delivered to your room in the morning, and can also arrange to have some groceries brought in — we did not use those services but they seem like a nice option. All in all, this is a lovely set up for a couple to enjoy a long weekend or more in Cordoba. Our only two comments, which did not affect our enjoyment of our stay at all, were: (1) we had requested and confirmed in writing a different room (apartment 6), but were told when we arrived that it had been given to someone else. Room 7, however, was of at least comparable quality and quite nice. (2) it might be made a bit more clear that the rooms have washing machines that will wash clothes, but not a clothes dryer — you dry clothes on a laundry rack that is provided. Again, this was totally fine, but would have been helpful to have a bit clearer as we spent a bit too much time trying to figure out whether the washer machine had a drying function, and it can be important to a guest to know how much time to allow for clothes to air dry. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend it to others.

Cordoba Old Town
The hotel has a good location, very close to the mosque and the Roman bridge, and it is convenient to eat and buy gadgets around. The hotel facilities are very good, the roads are narrow, all are all small alleys, it is recommended that you park your car outside the ancient city and enter on foot. When leaving the store, the clerk was unskilled and didn't know that he had prepaid the room rate. The friend who was traveling with me made another payment. After my friend confirmed with me, I contacted the front desk to cancel the payment. Ctrip's service is very good, and the customer service has been helping to deal with it and telling relevant precautions.

The price is very good, close to the main classics in the old city, breakfast is also good, the disadvantage is that the Wi-Fi signal is poor.
Hospes Palacio del Bailio

Stayed at the Tivoli in Lisbon which was a 5* and fulfilled expectations even though the hotel itself felt dated in the décor, the room, however, was spacious and well-appointed, and the dining room sumptuous with personable service. Arrived at the Palacio del Bailio, a 5* in Córdoba, expecting similar excellence, and was grossly disappointed. The reception personnel was efficient, but rather soulless. Some of the dining room staff did not feel like they should be working in a 5* hotel. They banged plates and dropped cutlery in a rather careless manner, chat loudly to each other, and projected an unsophisticated service style. The spa was marketed a lot more interesting than it actually was. The spa staff was strangely confused about our bookings and took a while to sort timing and treatments out, and the roman bath experience that looked so intriguing on their website turned out to be just 3 pools of differing temperatures and very little else in terms of amenities. Our room, basic level that it is, was fine except the goofy bathroom. It had two showers, one standalone and one attached to the bathtub. Problem is, the standalone shower took up half of the real estate on the toilet side, which means you have to be very thin and very small to get into the toilet stall. We are small folks, and still I banged my knees against the glass partition when I sit down and cracked my forehead when I stand up. Never had I to sit on the toilet on an angle with my legs half out of the stall door, just so I don’t bruise assorted body parts. A new experience never to be repeated. The sinks were also stylish-looking, but extremely impractical. Very little space to put anything, and no way to plug the drain so I don’t accidentally flush my contacts away. The hot water was iffy at times and took a long while to get warm let alone hot. A lot of water wasted just waiting for the hot water to come out. Overall an okay to frustrating stay, certainly not what 5* should be.
