I had such a lovely time! Our flight arrived exceptionally late, Andrew let us know how to get in after hours. We snuck up the stairs to the colonial room. It was gorgeous! My husband fell in bed and slept for 12 hours. I went down to breakfast and had a homemade meal cooked for me as I sat fireside being a lady of luxury. Loved it! When hubby woke up we walked around the area. One way there’s a Super cute little neighborhood near by w the river flowing through, the other is a gorgeous park with multiple lakes. Drugstore on the corner for anything I forgot. Great location, beautiful home, comfortable room, great breakfast and a charming Inn Keeper.

First, Edgewood Manor is BEAUTIFUL! It’s luxurious with lots of authentic antiques for you to enjoy and feel pampered. The reading room (or Parlor) is set for tea (or coffee) anytime with the most beautiful furniture and stained-glass lamps…a theme throughout the manor (ALL authentic)! Enjoy breakfast, home-made, and served in a large beautiful dining area. The rooms are just exquisite. I’ve stayed in quite a few of them…lol, as this is my Go-To housing when traveling! Andy is a wonderful host. There is so much that could be said, but I’ll let you experience. My experiences have all been great. I highly recommend.

I contemplated posting this review but after speaking to family, friends and business associates I feel it is necessary to document our experience and let everyone decide for themselves if this establishment is for them. My husband made a reservation for Christmas Eve speaking with whom he assumed was the owner. We arrived to be greeted by a Ring camera as no one was on sight. They promptly responded and gave us the instructions on how to enter the Inn. Once inside we called back to get further instructions on key, room location, etc. At that point we asked what time breakfast would be served the next day, which was Christmas Day, only to be told that the staff would not be preparing breakfast since it was Christmas but to help ourselves to what was in the kitchen. This is where it starts to go downhill. There was a very personal and inappropriate item in the kitchen which we found a little disturbing. The food in the refrigerator was expired, past the best buy date, and in some instances moldy. We did manage to find English muffins and jam that we could salvage for breakfast. Please note that this is Christmas morning and nothing is open. There were other things that we were disappointed with. The Inn was minimally decorated for the holidays, which was surprising to us, but to each their own. We were hoping for something a little more festive. When contacting the owner regarding our dissatisfaction we received a very blunt email. One of our complaints was the fact that we were paying the same rate as their standard rate with breakfast. We were not told that he would not be serving breakfast or offered a reduced rate since it would not be provided. I requested a refund and was flat out denied. He said that it was explained to my husband that breakfast would not be served but that is obviously untrue. That is not something that you would forget considering it was Christmas Day. And the fact that a reduced rate was not offered was such a rip off. When bringing up the personal item in the kitchen I was told, and I quote "Maybe you were a bit too nosy and if I knew you were going to snoop around our kitchen I would not have allowed you in to our kitchen" . "Your understanding of this is obviously minimal and downright wrong" Pretty bizarre for a business to address and insult a patron like this. I wrote the email to Andrew but Richard responded. As far as the Inn itself, it is a beautiful building but the interior and furnishings need some TLC.

A gorgeous turn of the century mansion, lovingly restored and decorated with period pieces and impeccable landscaping overflowing with flowers, with a delicious breakfast served by a friendly and knowledgeable chef. Owner Andy has owned it since 1994 and fully restored it to its former glory. It’s an old home to be sure (circa 1905) but the air conditioning works (a blessing as it was in the 90s when I visited). The rooms are comfortable and clean. The home history is written up with a plaque in the library to read. Andy made spot-on recommendations for dinner in Providence and the chef sent us to an adorable historic village up the street, with a proper French crêperie and the nearby beautiful Salter Memorial Park - with a rocky bit to visit with swans overlooking the river. Of note the B&B is in a bit of an out of the way place location-wise rather than inside a city or village, but it’s on a safe tree-lined street and less than 5 minutes to Providence and it’s under an hour to Newport and other spots.

We confirmed directly with the owner of more than 20 years, and he could not have been nicer. However, his apparent "hands-off" approach took away most of the charm that would have otherwise existed. Very nice interior. Super nice "sunroom" dining room. Our guest room was a huge disappointment with a broken damper on either side of the window a/c allowing bug infiltration (dead bugs scattered around the floor. Spoke with housekeeper who was aware and admitted the owner also knew about it. Inexcusable, really. Breakfast, for which we had high hopes, very, very average. Keurig coffee a huge red flag in a nice B&B

Edgewood Manor was the greatest B&B stay in Rhode Island! We stayed in the main house, and it was so historical and all the details within the house were amazing and brought back/restored from history and most of it was original. Sarah was our chef and housekeeper during our weekend stay and she was absolutely amazing, breakfast was absolutely delicious!! Every morning was a switch between an egg dish and a savory dish, accompanied with orange juice, and the best coffee! She was so sweet and welcoming, and give us a lot of advice on where to go and what to do and see! She also would make homemade cookies every day, which is around the house in deliciousness. I can’t rave enough about Sarah! I would 100% absolutely recommend this place to any of my friends and family who decide to visit Rhode Island. We took a lot Ubers around the area and was quite easy to get back-and-forth. $10 ride to the city which was just 8 minutes north of where we were.

My wife and I stayed here the weekend of our wedding. Members of our wedding party stayed here as well. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The hotel itself is beautiful. You get the feeling that you're not in a hotel, but guests in someone's home. When we first checked in we were offered homemade cookies! Breakfast is cooked fresh by the staff every morning. We couldn't have been happier during our stay. We plan to stay here every year for our wedding anniversary. Strongly recommend staying here
