Amazing location and great service. The food is excellent. We visited having been gifted a voucher for Christmas. We couldn't have the testing menu for dietary reasons but were able to eat from the a la carte without any issue. Would definitely go back.

Good experience overall: Best features: very clean and liked the welcome for our poodle. Garden room was very helpful for him and he was allowed to accompany us to the dining room. Lovely views. Breakfast was delicious with freshly prepared hot items from a menu. What would make it even better: Staff seemed a bit rushed so couldn't give a relaxed service. We would have liked a menu to refer to. Tasting menu had nice items such as White bean veloute and Rhubarb and Ginger dessert but some courses didn't quite meet our expectations.

A warm and welcoming hotel and restaurant. We were staying nearby and popped in for a glass of wine on our first night. Although the restaurant was fully booked the team kindly made us a cheese platter, eaten on the terrace with the vista of Loch Earn before us. We dined at the Achray hotel the following evening and had an excellent meal. The choice on the menu is limited, this is not ‘pub grub’ but a well curated menu of seasonal ingredients, cooked and presented beautifully. The Achray has an interesting wine list, if any of the wines are unfamiliar, Claire can recommend something to your taste. As we enjoyed our meal so much we booked their tasting menu for two days later. Again the food was high quality and although the restaurant was full the service was attentive and each course was explained to us. We chose to have the wine flight to accompany the meal and Claire surprised us at times with her pairings, however they all worked brilliantly. If you are in the Trossachs, it is well worth booking in advance travelling to this gem - you won’t be disappointed.

Fabulous location. Our room had a lovely view of the loch with huge bathroom, separate dressing room and TV area. The weather was great and we had a drink on the deck before dinner which was lovely. The staff were very attentive and the good was delicious.

We had great expectations and were hoping that our meal was going to be a 5 star. So disappointed. It started out great - the owner picked us up from the neighboring village - greeted by an absolutely stunning location . However we were so disappointed with the selection of wine, the quantity of food and the price. I don’t have an issue with the quality of food ( hubby did) but the quantity and value was awful. £35 for a small piece of halibut and minimal mashed potatoes and a piece of broccoli. I do understand that halibut is very expensive but al least fill the plate with a few more mashed potatoes and veggies. Fool us into thinking we are getting a full meal for our money. The menu was very limited and was not terribly appetizing. Sadly, we were not the only ones who felt frustrated by the fare - a couple next to us complained about numerous issues. I know we are probably not going to make a difference but wanted to share our experience. Hubby did speak with the owner after payment was made

Excellant room with view over Loch Earn. Tasting menu well presented and slightly lacking in taste on some elements. Having eaten the best tasting menus in the area would say Achrays is nearly there and would award it 9.5 out of 10. Slight upgrade to dishes taste required.

Firstly the location is stunning and the food is excellent. My husband & I stayed for our anniversary and had the tasting menu. Check in was a little unorganised and the woman seemed stressed. I also don't think it helps that you cannot check in until 4pm and everyone probably arrives then. We were shown to our garden room, it was lovely and made easy access to the car park and restaurant. Disappointingly when opting for the tasting menu, you are not seated until 6.45pm which for us is late and doesn't accommodate for everyone. We received our first plate at 7.20pm and finally finished all courses by 10.30pm. I understand there needs to be some "breathing space" between each plate however some were 30-40 mins which was becoming irritating. It is a shame as the food was superb and we would like to go back if it was organised better. Maybe they were short staffed? But we were never made aware of this. Breakfast, as we were advised, is seated at 15 minute intervals. We reserved for 9am, assuming we would be eating our hot food by around 9.30. Unfortunately we didn't receive this until 10.15am, again the food was delicious but was put off with the waiting time and we weren't the only ones. 3 couples sat down after us - between 9.15 and 9.45 but the couple who was first didn't receive their hot breakfast until the other couples did, so they all got served at 10.30am. Not sure what was happening in the kitchen. I would recommend this hotel the food was excellent and the rooms lovely and would love to return if the tasting menu was seated earlier and organised better in areas. I hope this feedback is taken on board as we really loved the location and food.

We stayed one night had the tasting meal with wine pairing. Claire was such a perfect host and the wines complement the food so well. Claire made us so welcome at this beauty spot. Had such a lovely evening and lovely breakfast in the morning after a good nights sleep. Will definitely stay again. Well done guys👌
