Stayed at La Cigale from early March to mid April 2024. Room: Comfortable and clean. Shower pressure and temperature were excellent. Unfortunately there were some renovations going on and for some reason the drilling and banging noise started by 6am! Was terrible especially during the weekends. Other than that, 4 out of 5. Housekeeping: This was the best part of my stay by far. Betty was excellent. She was very detailed and professional. Even changing out the in-room slippers when they appear slightly dirty with fresh ones. Whenever someone else cleaned the room, it was immediately clear that it wasn't Betty. Other housekeepers were good but Betty stood out. 5 out of 5. Laundry: Great turn around usually same day return. Quality of dry cleaning and laundry not consistent. Some days it was great and others appear rushed. Also, instructions like folding the shirts instead of hanging often go ignored. 3 out of 5. Food: Good quality and wide choices available. During Ramadan though, focus was more on the non resident clients thereby choices very limited for the resident guests. 4 out of 5. Front Desk: Probably my least favourite part of the hotel. The gentlemen at the front desk were usually very helpful and courteous. The two ladies however appear to always be in a rush. Engaging with minimal to zero eye contact, responding to queries before you finish asking the question seemingly thinking they know what you are about to ask. 2 out of 5. In general not a bad stay. Proximity to the Metro and a few shops was a big plus too.
