M International Hotel (Shazhou Night Market) Reviews

This hotel accepts foreigners. Location is not far from Dunhuang night market. Reception is nice and welcoming although they did not speak english. Translation app will do just fine. 100rmb deposit at check-in and they will give you back at check-out if everything is fine. Room is small, quite old and basic. Smoking is allowed inside hotel floors so it felt really suffocationg. The faucet in the bathroom did not give hot water, only the shower did. The only thing I don’t like is the AC (also heater) emitted kind of a burning smell which made the room suffocated. I turned on for a while and turned off in order to sleep safely.

Have stayed before and probably will again next time. A good hotel although is getting on in years but comfortable enough and everything worked just fine. They offer good tours of Yumen gate, yumingyuan pass, 1000 Buddha cave/grottoes and the Yardang geopark, all in one very long day. Close to everything in Dunhuang- great oasis town in middle of Gobi desert far west Gansu province.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is ideally situated to explore Dunhuang and its surrounding areas. The staff was polite and helpful.

Good location in town and lots of different food options nearby

The hotel is in a good location in the centre of Dunhuang, with only a 10-minute taxi ride away from the moon pagoda. Staff is friendly and rooms are a good size.

The hotel belongs to Chenguang Travel Company. The location is very good, close to the night market, and it is very convenient for eating and shopping. There was an airport pick-up service when I went in the off-season. I went on a one-day tour with the same company. Master Gao'an Army on the Western Route and Master Xu Zhibao on the Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring Line in Mogao Grottoes were both very good ~ the time rhythm was well arranged and the train was very stable.

I highly recommend this hotel. It is very cost-effective. The price is very suitable for April. The room is very clean and the service is excellent. I didn't notice that I booked a room without windows when I placed the order. I didn't know until I confirmed the order at the hotel. The hotel didn't ask me to pay the difference and upgraded my room. It's very humane. It's a pity that I forgot to take pictures. I will choose this hotel again when I come to Dunhuang in the future.
