Not far off the 2 Motorway through Switzerland, we stayed just one night and wished we could have stayed longer. This family run hotel is just fantastic. Well known for its excellent afternoon teas and excellent lunches and dinner - it is a great discovery. We had a terrific room (211) overlooking the lake with a small balcony, enjoyed an excellent tea, and then in the evening a great dinner. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff managed by Mr & Mrs Burkhard (Third generation of the family), who always seemed to be on duty. It was a public holiday and the restaurant was exceptional busy with locals enjoying a treat, despite this all worked well. Breakfast was excellent providing a wide range of fruit, pasteries, cheese/ham and a cooked breakfast.

Cela fait trois fois que nous nous rendons dans cet établissement et nous sommes toujours ravis. Il est idéalement situé dans la campagne lucernoise et offre une vue panoramique sur les Alpes et sur le lac de Sempach. Les chambres sont modernes et bien aménagées avec tout le confort, un mini salon et un petit balcon qui donne tout loisir de pouvoir profiter de ce magnifique paysage. L’hôtel dispose de plusieurs espaces culinaires. Le restaurant, la véranda et la terrasse. Belle carte, variée, On y propose une cuisine traditionnelle suisse et des plats internationaux. La spécialité maison, le «Chateaubriand flambé à table». On y a très bien mangé. Plats présentés avec soin, cuisine savoureuse. Un grand merci aussi à l’ensemble du personnel qui a tout fait pour que nous passions un séjour agréable et tout particulièrement à Andréa Pfaff, qui nous a servis lors de tout notre repas, elle a été parfaite, attentive et extrêmement professionnelle. Nous nous réjouissons d’y revenir une quatrième fois et écouter le mélodieux chant des oiseaux.

Wir durften unser Hochzeitsessen verkosten und wutden richtig verwöhnt. Wir starteten mit einer köstlichen Curry-Suppe. Anschliessend gab es dann einen grünen Blattsalat mit Lachsstreifen und Cherrytomaten. Zum Hauptgang gab es dann Schweinsbraten mit Kartoffelgratin und Gemüse. Zum Schluss noch eine Vacherintorte. Wir wurden freundlich bedient. Danke schön.

Wir haben im Februar den Schmittensaal für ein Familienfest im Mai (10-12 Personen) vor Ort besichtigt, reserviert und dann schriftlich bestätigt bekommen. Im April -bei der Besprechung der Menuvorschläge vor Ort- werden zuerst andere Platzierungsmöglichkeiten im allgemeinen Teil des Restaurants angeboten, und schliesslich stellt sich erst dann heraus, dass -trotz schriftlich bestätigter Reservation- der Saal für eine zahlenmässig grössere Gruppe vergeben wurde und wir somit spätestens um 1530h den Saal verlassen müssten…. Dass das von der Juniorchefin als «interner Fehler» beschönigt und dann auch noch einer untergeordneten Mitarbeiterin in die Schuhe geschoben wird, passt in’s Bild. Schade, wir hatten die Location in guter Erinnerung… das war einmal!

Hôtel très bien situé, calme. Chambre magnifique avec splendide vue sur Sempach, son lac et les Alpes. Literie de très bonne qualité. Pour le soir, 2 menus à choix modifiables à sa guise. Nourriture excellente. Personnel aimable et aux petits soins. Très bon rapport qualité-prix. Je recommande!

Fantastique, suite avec terrasse et baignoire 🛁 spa juste magnifique. Service de l hôtel incroyable, calme et jolie vue. Chambre très propre distribution de fruits frais en chambre. Restaurant avec des prix toutes catégories et excellent, on y a d ailleurs mangé tous jours. Déjeuner au top. Idéal pour séjour en amoureux 😻
