Mll Caribbean Bay

Our son booked this trip for us at the last minute. When he told me he had booked this hotel I was stunned. The hotel has changed it’s name, but I came here 40 years ago with my then boyfriend (now my husband of 37 years), and my mother. Our son had no idea of this, he picked the resort as it was close to the airport. The hotel has changed a lot, and for the better. The area was much more alive last time. Sadly this is happening all over due to Covid and the high cost of living. I think we must be in a different hotel to lots of the reviewers. The staff were lovely, the rooms were spotless. They were cleaned every day, and our sheets and towels were changed every other day. When we arrived the lady on the desk had a long queue to deal with. I would not have blamed her if she had been grumpy, but no, she was lovely. We were given a key and made our way to the room. My husband opened the door and the room was still in use. Returning to reception we were given a key for the ninth floor. This room was lovely, but it had a shower over the bath tub. I have difficuilties getting in and out of a bath. My husband went down and explained. We were told to ask again the next day. Unfortunately they had nothing that day, but they told us we could move the following day. We moved the next day to another lovely room on the 1st floor. It was a little bit noisy, but this is not the fault of the hotel, just inconsiderate guests, I have stayed in hotels where the food was better, and hotels where the food was not good. The food here was good. It was the end of the season and yet there was plenty of choice. We are not big drinkers, the 6 drinks a day would have been more than we would drink. I would prefer to sit down in the evening and have a drink. It is a shame that there was no way and you had no choice. With us it was not the quantity but rather the time of day that you were allowed drinks. Thank you all for making this a lovely week for us both. We enjoyed ourselves as we did when it was the Saga. I do prefer the decor today though.

This was the first holiday my husband and I had been on alone since our honeymoon 21 year ago. We were so looking forward to it. That was short lived when we got to the hotel. We checked in and all seemed fine until we got to our room , it was filthy, hair on the floor, stuck to the walls it was disgusting. The desk in the room was broken, the bathroom sink was blocked and the smell was horrible 😳. I was totally shocked at the state of the room . I went down and asked to change room and was told That I could the next day as everyone wanted different rooms because of complaints they had received. We decided to get some lunch in the hotel as we had payed for all inclusive. That was a big mistake, the food was so bad 👎 😫. It was truly disgusting. We thought it was a once off and did go to the restaurant again that evening but it was just as bad if not worse then . The staff in the restaurant were very rude and ignored The lifts in the hotel only worked sometimes and the cleaners never cleaned our room properly throughout our stay ,they never changed our sheets and we were there for 10 days I wouldn't recommend this hotel in any way to anyone We payed over 2100 euros to stay at this dump It's not nice place to stay or eat not even if you were desperate Sooooo disappointed

I have just returned from a disastrous visit to this hotel and area, this was a 10 day stay via Mundiplan under the Imerso program, which offers lower cost holidays to senior citizens, there is no way this is a 3 star hotel After 5 days, of the 10 day visit we had to check out, finding and paying for an alternate hotel, the last event being stuck in the lift of the 10th, a lift that constantly broke down On arrival at the hotel we were immediately disappointed by the unfriendly greeting and how dated the hotel was , old worn furniture in the reception and public areas. The restaurant was dark, at a lower level, very warm as there was no AC running, no table clothes, no salt no pepper and rocky chairs, where each dat we checked and swapped them. Very limited selection of respective dishes, limited deserts and when dishes ran out they just were not refreshed, it was easier to clear your own plates as staff were poorly trained and not interested. We were staying on the 4th floor and although there were supposed to be 2 pool areas, one on the 10th floor, which was open but the one on 1st was not open, no shade or parasols on either area. There were 4 lifts, only one that worked consistently, a common complaint here for years, at peak times almost impossible to get a lift, one broke down regularly, one didn’t work at all, one would on,y take 2 people and one worked OK. On day 5 when we got stuck in the lift, it did only take 10mins to release us but staff reception Jamie found it quite amusing, telling staff members that my wife was mad, stupid and over reacted and as the only pool was on the 10th floor I asked to be moved to another hotel, but they refused, their solution go the the beach We had a larger 3 bed room, very dated but beds were comfortable and AC worked. Wardrobe doors didn’t slide, patios doors didn’t lock, bathroom was the mallets I have seen, trip hazard on door, walls were not tiled but plastic panels with lots of repairs, claimed to have bath which was more like a shower tray, difficult to use, because of position of basin toilet not easy to use, hair dryer dangerous wiring on one screw, no where for toiletries, towels old and thing, no bath mats, no slip mats and poorly serviced. The room was very poorly cleaned, especially hidden areas The bar area was very limited, only one draught beer, no bottled beers, no Cava, limited selection of drinks and there was no evening entertainment or interest and greetings from staff The general area around the hotel was quite frightening to go out in, many closed and empty buildings, many that were now either Turkish Barbers or Kebab shops and along the main front 3 shell scammers, looky looky men bad *********s were being openly carried out Yes the hotel is close to a lovely beach but the route back is uphill Now I know that the hotel will trot out their normal response, but it should be noticed that 78% on the reviews for 2022 and 2023 have rated thus hotel average and below wi

As soon as we arrived we encountered problems. Reception not understanding English (max) turned us away as they didn’t believe we had pre paid for our stay.. it was 10pm, we hadn’t eaten and had been travelling all day. We had to pay for an extra night, then speak to a manger in the morning. It got sorted but there was no apology’s, or refund for the extra night! We had issues with both rooms next to us. The walls are like paper, but it didn’t help they where young people coming in at 4am, banging on the wall, our door, and even coming onto our balcony to steal our chair, all while they played loud music keeping us up, and not battering an eye lid when we looked at them. We didn’t even feel we would be listened to if we mentioned it to staff. as even asking reception for toilet roll was too much to ask..(Jamie) Food, standard and okay for the price, but it’s the same thing most breakfasts and dinners. A change would of been nice, Small positives, The catering, cleaning and the female receptionist (Casandra) (something like that) where amazing and always had a smile on and where happy to help. The hotel is in a good location, and the pool is lovely. Over all, I wouldn’t recommend it to family’s, or couples wanting a relaxing holiday, It’s kinda party hotel for young people.

Good vibe !! Good pools the one on the top was awesomeee!! the room was great with giaaant balcony! Everyday they clean up and bring new towels. José in the bar was great!! Just loved our stay!! Big thaaaaaanks we would sureeeee come again!!!

We had the most horrific holiday of a lifetime. What you get is nothing like the write up and the photos must have been taken after the refurbishment. The rooms are small and the bathroom even smaller. the bath come shower is ancient with dirt and degradation all around the bath and room. They have a shower curtain in the mini bath which must be the original furnishings from first build. Guaranteed to stick to you like glue. There are no privacy screens on the balcony between rooms so you practically have to have the curtains closed the whole time. The surrounding buildings are an eyesore and within spitting distance of the hotel. The noise factor is intense, from the apartments, from the street, and of course the internal noise. You never know with walls so thin where the noise is from up down sideways. The pools they brag about well look at the picture 2 to 3 people willing to brave the cold. The so called bar is closed all day till 7pm and only the pool is open if you want something to drink which is open at 10am and closes at 7pm. Entertainment is none existent which is most probably a blessing. You never got coffee at lunch or Dinner, what is that? The food well that would take a month of Sundays to describe.

Was initially nervous based on previous negative comments. Had a great stay. We found the staff courteous and friendly. With regards food plenty of hot and cold choice. The soup each day was amazing and delicious and a bonus. Bedroom was a bit tired but cleaned daily.
