There are no lift and it is a challenge if you have large luggage to handle.

Great location, we stay every year during the Devon County Show. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the services next door have a great variety of food and shops for anything you need. The staff here is what makes the stay amazing. Carl ran like an Olympic sprinter when the fire alarms went off, Kelly was charming at check in and so very helpful and Carla was the same on our first couple of nights; nothing was too much trouble. The only reason this is a 4 star review instead of 5, is because the sound proofing between the floors is awful. The room upstairs from ours returned late at night and stomped around upstairs for the best part of an hour. Not sure if they were having a marching competition, or whether the floor/ceiling is just really old and creaky.

Just a place to stay the night on our way to St Ives, Cornwall. Room was clean if in need of a makeover Clean bedding and fresh towels, all we needed really. A fair bit of noise from the Garage over the road, it was a place where lorries seemed to go for fuel. All in all, not a bad place to spend one night, I wouldn't was to make an extended stay though

I stayed at Travelodge Exeter over the Easter Bank Holiday checking in at around 19:00 after a long drive .. I am mobility impaired and was having difficulty with my luggage . The Receptionist Kelly S was really helpful and assisted me by carrying the luggage to my room .. she was cheerful and chatty and really helpful which makes all the difference also later in the evening when I pressed the alarm she responded quickly and also offered to bring me more coffee sachets as I had ran out . All I can say is the service and trea**ent I received was excellent and Kelly went above and beyond to ensure my stay went smoothly .. A smile and a proactive attitude makes all the difference 10/10

Another great stay at Travelodge Exeter M5; our annual 4 night stay while visiting the Devon County Show. Although the restaurant is closed we have a great choice of food at the Services just across the car park with KFC, Costa, Subway, Burger King, Noodle Bar, Greggs and an M&S food hall. Carla went above and beyond giving us rooms on the same corridor and sorting out some bedding, she was a complete star and made our stay completely stressless.

Easy enough to find and excellent location for getting around the county for my business. Room was clean, spacious and comfy. Evening receptionist Kelly was very pleasant and helpful. Only 4 stars though due to no onsite restaurant for breakfast :(

Wow where do we start …. Horrendous springs to mind…. I will give my honest opinion. Booked for one night only to visit nearby on professional business. Drove on the car park and thought it was an abandoned building. Check in 3.00 pm so we were early having travelled for 4 hours and in fairness they did let us check in half an hour early. Entering our room thought they had forgotten it was end of 2023 even covid couldn’t have got in the way of how this place had been forgotten. Obviously no money had been spent on anything and the company were just taking out profit’s rather ploughing anything back. We were on the ground floor at about 1 in the morning overhead there was banging and clattering and possibly a disagreement from above. Kept us awake for 2 hours. I may be wrong but looked like they were housing asylum seekers and parents with children with no homes were put up there. I understand it was cheap accommodation but wow it went beyond the pail. The room was not even basic. We had one plastic chair and one chair that I wouldn’t even sit in The towels were so hard we didn’t even shower Please whoever owns these hotels either knock them down and rebuild or sell up and let someone who knows what they are doing have a go. We had the privilege of choosing to stay there what about the poor soles who haven’t the choice My advice don’t book a travel lodge look for alternatives there are lots around.

Even though the hotel is a little dated the staff are really friendly and the hotel is very clean. The location is easy to get to and was perfect for our stay. Parking is free . We slept really well couldn’t hear any outside noise. Would recommend as a base if travelling around or one night stay over.

No thrills but clean room , fresh white bedding ,plenty of towels, soap in dispencer. Tea coffee kettle . Noise from the main road but expected. Would use again.
