"Fantastic location, particularly when travelling by train. Christmas decorations enhanced the appearance"
Exeter Court Hotel
"Superb value. Under £50 for a basic but lovely clean, warm and comfortable double room with parking directly outside, topped off with a superb breakfast. If we’re ever in the area we will definitely stay again. Thank you so much."
City Gate
"Value for money indeed. Never expect such a spacious and well-refurbished room at such an amazing price. Would recommend it to anyone who visit Exeter since it’s located exactly at the city centre and within 10 or 15 minutes walk from both railway stations."
Holiday Inn Express EXETER - CITY CENTRE by IHG
"Great location, super friendly staff/ receptionist and she really couldn't of been more helpful. 🙏🏻. But please be aware of a 24 / overnight parking is 50%discounted to £18. But still worth it in my opinion."
Premier Inn Exeter City Centre
"We had an enjoyable stay. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast served was very nice. All the staff were very friendly and approachable. About 10-15 minutes walk to the city center."
The Devon Hotel
"Checkin could have been better, had to fill all details on tablet but these details already provided on booking I presume. Good food service, nice steak. Convenient for our appointment next morning nearby. Would probably stay again if in the area."
Woodbury Park Hotel & Spa
"As usual with my frequent visit to this area I find Woodbury Park hotel has been my preferred place to stay. Staff are lovely kind and helpful. It’s a beautiful hotel satin a very picturesque location surrounded by pleasant scenery. Hotels and rooms are very clean and well attended to. Restaurant services are clean and impeccable. Credit goes to the chefs and the team who managed the service. I have had a pleasant breakfast service during my stay at Woodbury. I hope the staff and the team at Woodbury keep up the good work and encourage us to use them during my future trips to the area."

Lord Haldon Country Hotel,Sure Hotel Collection B
"Absolutely superb. Peaceful, friendly, clean, amazing views. Not sure what else to say apart from I didn’t get to stay long enough."
Queens Court Hotel
"Overall really good experience staying here. Friendly staff and competitive price! Breakfast good."
University of Exeter - Holland Hall
"Very convenient location, excellent views, friendly staff and tasty breakfast. The room is very clean but the bed is way too soft and kind of small for couples. Be prepared to walk up and down hills though. Parking can be quite full so make sure to arrive early!"
Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel
"Love my stay here, with welcome drinks 😊"
Woodleigh Coach House
"Live locally. Stopped for coffee and toasted tea-cake. Toasted yes cakes £4.50 EACH and they were over done. Coffee had to be drunk immediately as it wasn’t particularly warm. Staff attitude poor! Like to support local businesses but they have to deserve it!"
The Grange Court B&B Hotel
The Exeter Inn
"The food was fine and the service OK, but be aware that the menu and pricing are nothing like what’s on their website. We went in based on what we saw on the website, and the menu was much more limited than we expected (themed nights), and the food somewhat more expensive."
Premier Inn Exeter (M5 J29)
"We stayed at the Premier Inn, as we had an event to attend in Exeter. It is a great position to get about. There is a Brewers Fayre next door, which is cheap and convenient. We stayed 2 nights and the parking was £16"
South View Lodges
"The best place to stay by far, Jill and Andrew are extremely attentive. The lodges are extremely well maintained. They are amazingly clean. This trip we stayed in number 6 and the bed is like sleeping on a cloud, the hot tub is the best hot tub I’ve ever been in and the fire (logs supplied) is just super cosey. we spent a long weekend relaxing, fishing and enjoying the peace the SVL brings."
The Telstar
"Stayed here for one night in August. Was really impressed with the Telstar. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Room was cosy (I had a single room) and had everything I needed. Breakfast was great and fab location in town for Exeter St David’s or Exeter Central station. Will definitely stay again when passing through!"
Route 2 Apartments
"We had a fabulous stay in the Monmouth apartment. Beautiful, light and airy in the heart of Topsham near the Quay perfect for a quick pint at the LighterInn. Highly recommend this as an escape from the city. I wish I could stay for longer. Well equipped, clean apartment with a nautical theme and the breakfast in the cafe was wonderful. The staff were very kind and welcoming, already planning my next trip here!"
The Exeter Inn
"I have visited the attractive Exeter Inn near bampton many times over very many years. It has varied in standard from owner to owner. However, since the spring of 2025 it has been operated by Michelle and Martyn who very evidently know how to run an excellent establishment. Together they have hit the mark and immediately I walked in, following a friends recommendatin that great things had happened, I felt a really warm and welcoming atmosphere. Greeted cheerfully by this relaxed but most efficient couple and their friendly staff, I sensed enthusiasm and pride. It was sunday lunch and a proper fire roared away as happy guests chatted and laughed. A full range of roasts were offered and my chicken with all the trimmings was really delicious, hot and well presented, without any delay. You can just tell when you are enjoying a good eatery and the Exeter Inn is exactly that ! Living locally, I shall be a frequent customer and I suggest that you visit soon because you will not be disappointed ! Lovely pub, restaurant and Inn."
Southernhay House Hotel
"We stayed at this beautiful hotel for two nights and loved it. It's an oasis in the middle of town. The whole place is very stylish, beautifully decorated and so welcoming. We had a "comfy room" which had a unique layout but it was certainly big enough for the two of us; it was bright, airy and super clean with lots of thoughtful touches. It also had a great shower and such a comfy bed! Breakfast was delicious with a good choice and everything both looked and tasted amazing. Service was excellent; all the staff in the hotel were very friendly and attentive though. We had drinks in the bar one evening, it has a good cocktail and drinks list and is a lovely area to sit and relax after a busy day! We had a great stay, would love to come back and wholeheartedly recommend it."
Mill on the Exe
"Lovely location. 10 mins walk to city centre. Great beers. Wonderful staff - the meet and greet was clear, friendly, everything you’d want for a visit. Our room was spacious with a lovely river view. Super comfy bed and excellent room facilities. We particularly appreciated having fresh milk in the fridge for tea/coffee. Would recommend and will happily stay again."
Townhouse Exeter
"Behind us is David's Church and a small area of tombstones. It was a bit scary to see them when we arrived at night, but I participated in church activities during the day, and understood the local culture. I also found the culture shock quite interesting. In the following days, I would walk through the cemetery to take a shortcut."
The Globe
"The location and friendly, helpful staff were excellent. The food quality was as good as the most expensive restaurants we have dined at. The price of the food was less than charged by many other restaurants. Well done The Globe,we will return."
