Super 8 by Wyndham Brinkley

Not impressed. Seemed to be in a questionable part of town with some questionable clientele.

The room was pretty clean, room was big enough. The outside of the front office could be cleaned up more. Overall i felt safe enough to stay here.

Front desk lady was very courteous and efficient and went out of her way to do all she could to be of service.

Clean sime room, a little trsin and freeway noise but not objectionable.

I made my reservation through ******* for $71.12 and upon arrival, Super 8 asked for my credit card. It was a night check in with employee behind protective glass and he stated my card had been denied which I thought strange that he even asked me for it since I had already booked through *******. He then asked me to use the outside machine to run my card and it went through fine. He said the charge would come off my card in a couple days. It did not come off and I also found there were 2 charges of $63.50 plus the $71.12 from *******. Will attempt to get it taken off however I don’t plan to use ******* as I was charged more than their rate plus all the hassle of taking 2 additional charges off my statement.

On three separate occasions room service walked in without knocking or announcing themselves. I was in the middle of changing at one point. Most locks are broke or almost broke on the doors and you can hear everything through the walls. It was hard to get privacy. We have a baby and getting him asleep was a challenge because room service, and the owners themselves came through and let themselves in, or people would check in and stomp or play their TVs extremely loud. If you have kids or if you’re a light sleeper I don’t recommend this place.

Checkin was at night and the front door was closed and you had to check in at a night door. Very unprofessional.

The hotel was off of the highway and thus was a perfect location as we traveled through AK. The room could use an update.

This is my second stay at Super 8 by Wyndham Brinkley, and I will be back next year. The room was clean, and the staff is very courteous and friendly (special mention to the young man attending the front desk when I checked-in - he advised me there was a problem with the room I had reserved, and he promptly advised me that he would place me in another room, which turned out to be an upgrade. Very pleasant young man and very efficient. Having met his father during breakfast, it was easy to see that he was following his father's teaching). Highly recommended.
