Hotels near Cuore Verde, Frascati

I chose this hotel because we needed a place to stay for just one night before an early morning flight out of Fiumicino after our time in Tuscany (It is an easy 35-minute drive to the airport on Sunday morning), but I wish we could have stayed longer! The staff was so friendly on check-in and told us that we were welcome to explore the public areas of the villa, which are covered with beautiful paintings and frescos. They provided us with a write-up on the very interesting history of the Villa. Our rooms (we booked two for our family) were very clean and good-sized, with comfortable beds. Yes, the wifi was spotty, and the rooms could use a little updating in terms of things like outlets), but they really had everything we needed and the charm of the place makes up for those things. One room had a beautiful view of Rome, especially at night! We also ate dinner in the hotel's elegant restaurant and it was a perfect last meal before we left Italy. The service was wonderful, prosecco was flowing freely, and the food was delicious!

It's more 3.5 than 3 but you can't give half a vote and I think it's right to encourage something to improve. The place is fantastic, quiet and suggestive....good maintenance on the outside, nice clean rooms and good breakfast.....up to this point we would have a well-deserved 5 stars, unfortunately there are too many details that bring the rating down. First of all the maintenance of the room: the walls had many signs of dirt and would need to be repainted, but what is worse is seeing some parts peeling from the damp, re-plastered and not painted. The bathroom is a bit small, but what's worse is the shower: too small and above all with the box to be changed and the wall all moldy. Furthermore, both the water and the temperature of the room were too extreme (lukewarm water and a cold room when we arrived which never managed to heat up completely), plus the noisy air conditioner which we were forced to turn off at night. I wish this was a constructive criticism, because the place deserves 5 stars!!! So I would recommend an extra maintenance effort and you will have a fabulous place. Given the location we still relaxed, even if without a shower :-)

We visited here for 4 nights whilst we were in the area for a wedding. The hotel room itself was clean and spacious with a small balcony, although it would have been nice if the balcony had chairs. The hotel itself is in a rural location, and it would have been beneficial to have a car. The hotel helped us contact local taxi companies when we needed to get about. The breakfast was quite basic, toasties, pastries, cereal and fruit. We also did not see a restaurant/bar so facilities were limited.

We are currently on a 5 week trip around Europe, and have been staying at accomodation that advertises similar processes and facilities throughout. This is by far the worst place we have stayed and the only time I have ever had to request a room change (or even report a problem) to reception. We arrived in the evening and found that our room (suite 24) was very hot. We couldn’t figure out how to use the thermostat on the wall so asked at reception for some help. After a while the lady from reception arrived and also couldn’t figure out how to turn down the temperature. We also asked for an additional pillow each as the one we had been provided was very flat. When the receptionist arrived she agreed it was hot, and that she couldn’t hear the air conditioning working. After some troubleshooting she was unable to fix the problem, and left to go and contact her manager, and never came back. I went down to reception a little later to follow up, but it was closed for the night and nobody would answer the phone. We had to sleep with the window and door open for the first night, because the temperature continued to rise. Unfortunately this meant our sleep was disturbed by the very loud planes flying to/from the nearby airport. My partner went to shower and found that within a few minutes water was overflowing from the shower tray, as the drain appeared to be blocked. We also had constant issues with WiFi connectivity. It took several minutes to load the results of a google search, and I was unable to purchase a train ticket online for over 30 minutes due to the poor internet speeds. Streaming was out of the question. To make things worse there was only 1 bar of cell phone signal in our room, so using mobile data was also proving difficult. We had to catch a train in to Rome early the next morning and nobody (other than than serving breakfast) was at reception when we left, so we messaged them and asked them to follow up and fix the problems we had discovered, or change us to a different room. A few hours later we got a reply informing us that the air conditioning for the building had been disabled as they had decided it was cold enough at night to turn on the radiators. This meant that no guests had the ability to control the temperature of their individual suites. We asked for our air conditioning to be turned on or to receive compensation for this advertised feature not being available, but this request was declined. Our request for the internet to be fixed was also unsuccessful, with the only advice being “It’s fine, just reconnect” which failed to help. I completed an internet speed test which only could capture a speed of 3mbpd. We regret booking this accomodation. On both nights we were very hot and uncomfortable. I haven’t even mentioned the fact that our bed creaked loudly with the slightest movement. I would not recommend La Villetta Suite to anyone.

This would be better classified as a 2 star hotel, the bathroom had rust and was neither well maintained nor properly cleaned. Water overflowed when you showered and the hair dryer was something out of the 70's. Everything felt old and neglected. Breakfast was poor. The personel were nice. Such a pity, the place needs a bit of care to be really nice but it's simply left to deteriorate. Would'nt advise it.

The hotel is located outside of the city centre of Rome. Although it is situated near a station on Line C of metro, it is not convenient to carry your baggage to the hotel. We took uber when we check out. However, I would recommend this hotel to budget travellers as everything is decent except the location.

OK, let's not beat around the bush: this is the worst hotel I have stayed at for a very, very long time ! I was there for work, with a group of colleagues, and we ended up demanding a refund several days before we were due to leave because there were so many things wrong with this hotel. As soon as we arrived, the first issue arose: there was zero Wifi in the room I was given (even though we had emphasised before that we needed at least semi-decent Wifi for work). In order to get any kind of Wifi, I had to swap for a room without any air-con (bearing in mind that temperatures were - on some days - above 30 degrees C). So for minimal Wifi (between 1 and 2 bars), I now had to permanently leave my windows open throughout the night, so that I wouldn't wake up soaked in sweat in the mornings. Wifi throughout the hotel was a problem as well - there were hardly any areas where there was decent Wifi - I tried to make a Whatsapp voice call to my office in quite a few areas of the hotel and was usually cut off after about 10-20 seconds or so. Next issue: breakfast - first of all, the quality and selection of food available was very poor - in the bowl of fruit, there were frequently several fruits that were clearly rotting (which seems to indicate that none of the staff ever properly check). Also, whenever a guest is finished with their breakfast and leaves, it seems that none of the staff properly clean the tables afterwards - pretty much every breakfast I was down there, all the tables were still dirty and not properly laid with new cutlery. When I pointed this out to a member of staff, she just laughed at me and didn't do anything. Next issue - noise levels during the night: during several nights I was there, there was an unacceptable level of loud noise going on until the early morning hours - people shouting, partying, etc (at some point, it sounded like there were about 20-30 people or so in the room above me having a party until about 2am). Obviously, the fact that I had to keep my windows open because of the lack of air-con didn't help. Next issue - mould (or 'muffa' in Italian): in my bathroom there were clear signs of mould on the walls - because of all the other issues, I didn't even bother to tell the hotel about this. Finally - management & staff: First of all, I want to emphasise that there were some members of staff who were perfectly friendly (and almost seemed apologetic at times about the state of this hotel themselves). But some of the staff (at breakfast, for example), clearly did not give a s*** about the guests and did nothing at all to help. The manager - and I am guessing a lot of the flaws of the hotel and the staff attitude stem directly from him - was completely disinterested in any form of criticism (or anything else at all, really). He couldn't even be bothered to look up and acknowledge guests when they walked past reception and at some point, when my colleague wanted his room keys, basically just threw them at him. I had 2 negative experiences in this hotel, one of which was very unpleasant. First, the hotel could no longer find my reservation, but that was resolved very quickly. Then on the evening of the fourth day of my stay, I found an envelope on my bed with a 50 euro fine in it. At the reception, I was explained coldly that it is because it is forbidden to smoke in the room. The cleaning lady would have smelled the cigarette while cleaning the room. The problem is that I'm a non-smoker and I can't stand the smell of cigarettes either. It was particularly unpleasant having to convince the receptionist that I don't smoke. Finally, she withdrew the fine. I came 5 times in this hotel, and to be fair, I must say that the rest is perfect. The staff are professional (except for the fine!), smiling and helpful. The rooms are very well equipped and spacious. The breakfast is very good and it is possible to have dinner at the hotel.

I was nervous about travelling alone for the first time, but the staff (Alessio, Flavio, Martina and Bianca) made my trip unforgettable. The team are so funny and friendly. Alessio (the bar manager) provides the most entertaining atmosphere and is a true credit to the hostel. My private room was clean and comfortable with beauty Italian decor. The guests were a mixture of solo travellers and groups (generally 20-40ish) but everybody was made to feel welcome and included. Thank you to Alessio and the team for a phenomenal experience!
