Stayed here for 3 nights last week (29 Apr - 02 May) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were really friendly, the room was clean and tidy, the location was ideal for our needs. Have 'The Anchor' inn next door which is ideal. The room had a great view over to the canal which was great.

We stayed here while cycling the Liverpool-Leeds canal. This was a fabulous hotel. It was exactly what we needed after a strenuous day. Arriving in the evening the receptionist (I'm so sorry I've forgotten her name) was very helpful. She arranged a booking for us in time for food at a local pub as we'd missed the dinner times in the hotel. The next morning we had breakfast and there was plenty of choice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would happily recommend this hotel and a big thank you to the helpful, friendly staff.

The room wasn’t cleaned properly. There was a Ventolin type puffer under the bed in full view. No one told us to register our car for the car park. We may yet get a penalty notice for our 3 night stay. The constantly running bedroom fan was noisy. Other than that, the accommodation and reception were fine. The food was truly awful. The breakfast consisted of barely warm items, including rubbery fried eggs and congealed scrambled eggs. There was no coffee. Guests had to make their own Nescafé. I’m so glad we didn’t buy a meal deal!

This hotel is not the usual standard of Premier Inn, it is looking tired and run down. Food quality is only average.

We spent one night at the Premier Inn at Gargrave last week. The check in was speedy and the receptionist was very friendly and professional. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We booked the meal deal and were quite impressed with the choice. We had a main and a dessert each plus a drink ( A pint of branded lager). The food was well presented and tasty with generous portions. Breakfast was fine, apart from the fried eggs which had obviously been stood for a while and where "rubbery". Everything else was top class and good value. We were very pleased that check out was 12, giving us plenty of time to eat breakfast and pack our bags without feeling rushed. Car parking was free, always a bonus, with plenty of spaces. Yes the hotel in places does need updating, nothing serious but parts are showing their age, but nothing that affected our stay. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

The staff were ALL very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the food in the restaurant delicious. Some beautiful scenery to be enjoyed nearby especially walking along the canal bank. The building and rooms are beginning to show their age and are starting to look a little tired and in need of refurbishment. Even a coat of paint on the windows outside would help.

The staff were polite. And the rooms were clean and tidy. The massive let down was the inability to control the room temperature. It was uncomfortably warm and air con did not work in either of the rooms booked. So much so we had very poor nights sleep

Stayed here in May, very basic room, bed comfortable and relatively clean. Cleaner is a thief! I left a pair of trousers in the room by accident, after ringing the hotel the following day asking for them to be posted out and subsequently chasing up where these trousers were, reception claimed that the cleaner did not know where they were nor were they in lost property. The trousers were definitely left in the room in the wardrobe. No update calls as requested, I've chased up for days now and no apology no nothing. Very poor customer service, failed to call me back to update. I will be writing a letter of complaint as the cleaner is a thief or a spiteful sod for throwing them away! Avoid!

Arrived to a unfriendly reception- On retiring for the night discovered a light above the bed that couldn’t be switched off - the receptionist disconnected it and then pushed the live wires into the roof space. The restaurant started playing music into the garden at 6.30am. Told at breakfast we could only sit for a limited time - because they needed the table- even though the restaurant was empty. Refused a coffee because it was before 12. Awful service throughout.
