Easy to park only rm3 per stay. The location is near to gurney bay. The room is very nice and huge. The staff very polite and the breakfast very good I stay for 40 minutes at cafeteria

Bilik luas, wangi, bersih, view yg sangt cantik..the food was good, layanan terbaik,kawasan strategik❤️❤️ will repeat again when go to penang. Got some chocolate in the room❤️❤️ tq royale chulan penang..

The location is central with many nearby eateries and cafes, but might need some touch up.

Great hotel with a variety choices for the breakfast, large room, huge pool and my kids enjoy for it. The gym is also good one. Maybe will come again here for 3 times.

The staffs is very helpful and polite. The room very clean and spacious. Location is fine there is a food court close to and open for breakfast till lunch(2pm) last order is 1.45pm.

have request for 1 extra bed, unfortunately not available during my check in, but hotel receptionist was helpful to arranging the same floor for my 2 booking. Room was clean and breakfast is quiet alright, walking distance to ferry bus terminal and Esplanade.

Rooms Super rundown with terrible odour , and breakfast were the worst v Even had … very disappointed … breakfast porriirge was serve cold Which When I asked the server I was given an unreasonable answe saying the pot was spoiled . Even the chef was so unprofessinal by simple cooked lousy eggs .., cannot finish telling one by one on thier down side , Just wont come here again , totally spoiled Royal Chulan name .. and stained everywhere in their room’s wallpaper

The location is good near tourist places. So you can walk no need to use taxi.

This is not my first time staying in this hotel. Check in service was a breeze and they always try to accommodate my request for certain rooms. They have quite a wide spread for breakfast. My only complaint is that if you go too early for breakfast, some of the food may not heated up in time for the guests. Imagine eating cold hash browns or dalcha sauce.

Room was clean and comfy, toiletries were provided except bathrobe. Breakfast spread was huge and variety was great. Just the interior design is slightly dated and there are some funny dark corners in the hotel, but all is good! The staff are polite and service is great. My sister was panicking because she left her iPod at the gym and only remembered one day later. When we returned to the hotel to ask, we managed to claim it from the lost and found at the counter. We thought we lost it for good and was surprised we could get it back! Mr Ajib who was cleaning the gym had picked it up and returned it. We will really like to commend him for his honesty and kindness! We are also thankful to him!! It really goes to show that the staff are very honest people. Would recommend staying here if you want to be close to George Town, the UNESCO heritage area. Around 10 min walk to the Chew jetty and nearby shops and stores.
