Waterpark Giethoorn ★★★

"The room was clean. We booked an airport shuttle service, and the owner personally picked us up. He waited for us a long time at customs, but then took us directly to the bridge near the guesthouse, saving us a lot of walking time. The apartment has its own boat, which is very convenient as you can take it directly out from the property. There was a lovely Chinese-speaking receptionist at the front desk, who was very friendly to us since our English was only so-so. The guesthouse has a kitchen, and it's economical to buy groceries at the supermarket at the village entrance and cook them back at the hotel. There are ducks and swans in the waterway near the apartment, so the kids can play with them whenever they want and had a great time. It's definitely worth a visit!"

Hotel Giethoorn ★★★

"What a horrible hotel is this. The price for a budget room is really ridiculously high. Our booking did not even say we had booked a budget room. It is a ‘digital' hotel so you can see no one of the staff you welcome. This feels very personal. The entrance hall smells and all of them have special points in the tape. The room is very small and has a mini window that can open. The bathroom is very spacious and clean. But if you open the stick of the washing box, it flows across the edge, perhaps the other rooms are better, but certainly not those in which we have sleeped."
