Premier Inn Chelmsford (Boreham)

I do not rate the breakfast found this over priced and the wait time for the food to be cooked as it kept running out

Rooms with bathrooms that are in proper working order should be the bare minimum for a hotel. My mum, on whose behalf I booked the room, was a guest at this hotel and was unable to use the shower for the duration of her stay. She informed reception that the shower was malfunctioning on four separate occassions. The first time she did so she was informed by the receptionist that someone would be sent up to make appropriate repairs but no-one turned up. She was promised the same thing following another one of her complaints about the malfunctioning shower. The third time she complained the receptionist asked if she could use the bathroom of another guest staying at the hotel! This is outrageous. For one thing there was no way my mum could do this as the other guests she arrived with are a married couple and it would have been awkward; for another, we paid full price for the room and a working shower is the bare minmum one should expect. Things break down, I get that but when they do, there should be protocols for addressing them. The hotel staff's cavalier attitude to my mum's complaint was the worst part. Really disappointed with the quality of service.

Overall impressions are the hotel is a little tired and run down. So very hot in the rooms as no fans issued and the quilt is like a TOG 50 yet they still leave the same quilts on during the warmer months so don't expect a decent nights sleep. Pillows always like rocks so best take your own. No built in restaurant to use the pub next door and book.

Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast at the hotel. Food was excellent and cooked by Jo their chef. Hot, tasty and wonderful variety. Jasmine, the waitress here at the hotel was lovely. So friendly and outgoing and helpful. She took care of all the hotel guests with care during breakfast. It was a real pleasure having such a great experience. I would recommend and if you need a smile you will get one here! 🤩

Just had a wonderful breakfast with Jasmine and Jo in the restaurant. Everything cooked to order and the loveliest service from Jasmine, nothing was too much trouble. If you are in the area they also accept walk ins. You can tell when staff are good as customers take the time to thank them and everyone came to Jasmine!

Our dad came to visit family and friends in Chelmsford to celebrate his 100th birthday. As he finds stairs a challenge, for the last 4 visits he has stayed at Premier Inn, Boreham. The staff make a big fuss of him and have got to know him. We both particularly enjoy the breakfast offer.

Hotel was very clean and the staff all round were very polite and helpful. If you needed anything they would act quickly

Jo and Sam, and the other team members on the front desk and house keeping, we’re super friendly, easy to chat to, our room was a twin and one of the refurbished rooms, was just right, clean and did the job, our breakfasts were excellent, freshly cooked eggs made all the difference, thank you, have already recommended this premier inn to family ☺️

FABULOUS STAFF!! Shout out to Sam, Jo, Ann & Dom. They all went above and beyond. Friendly, helpful, enthusiastic. Super breakfast.
