Guadalajara Hotels with Bars

Our 2nd time in the hotel in the past 2 yrs. This time we stayed for 1 night didn't sleep at all due to the street noise until 1 am. They gave us 4th floor where you could hear everything from the busy road. Last time we were in 23rd floor was great. The pillows this time was very small and uncomfortable too. I recommend asking customer which floor they prefer and informing about noise level. Maybe better and bigger pillows should be put in use.

I was at the Velvet Hotel for a couple of nights. My family and I were driving to Puerto Vallarta, but we got into a serious accident so we had to stay in Guadalajara while my little niece had to have emergency surgery. Overall, we had a good stay and Velvet Hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was very attentive. However, the day we had to check out I called requesting a late check out because my niece was being discharged from the hospital (fortunately) and the whole process took longer than we had anticipated. The front desk allowed us to check out late. Unfortunately we were still 20 mins. late and got charged with a late check out fee. The fee was half of the daily rate ! We understand that every hotel has policies regarding late check outs, however given the situation I would’ve expected the hotel to be more flexible and understanding. This left my family with a very bad impression of the property and we definitely won’t be back to stay there.

We stayed 3 nights and was a comfortable stay. Quiet stay. Comfortable pillows and clean room. We were given clean towels every day. I'm not giving a full stars rate because the 24 hrs restaurant food and buffet quality is not good as expected. Ordered a burger and arrachera tacos from the 24hrs service. The burger was not well done and the arrachera meat was not tender. The buffet during the morning was poor for the value. Not a lot of options to choose and charged almost 400 pesos. Not tasty food.

Stayed three nights here. The location is great-right on the edge of the historical centre and yet very quiet. It was about a 15 minute walk from the bus station (where we had arrived from the airport). There are restaurants all around as well as OXXO and 7/11 shops. The view from the roof top terrace across to the square is lovely. Although the bar was not open, we brought our own drinks and food up here. We had breakfast on one morning (25% discount deal) and it was quite formal in the restaurant downstairs but there was a great selection of food. The hotel is an old building and very pleasing to look at with internal courtyards but have to say, our room was very dark and you needed to have the curtains closed in the bedroom/bathroom for privacy. The rooms are spacious however and the a/c was excellent as was the comfort of the bed. The WiFi was frustrating and slow. We found most of the staff very friendly apart from a couple of staff at reception when we arrived who perhaps need better training with people skills. Would we stay again? Not sure as the darkness of the bedroom did get us down.

The cutest boutique hotel well located within walking distance of the Guadalupe Cathedral, shopping, dining, and sightseeing. Very clean and modern hotel with an art gallery to view on your way to the elevator! The rooms were spacious and had a small sitting area. The beds were so comfortable. The restaurant food was good and well priced. Nice small bar with an open patio with hammock swings. Staff was friendly and very responsive. This hotel is a nice jumping off place to visit Tlaquepaque and Tequila. Loved all the architectural design elements here. I'm already thinking of when I will go again. Definitely good value for your money.

I visit GDL many times a year and try different hotels. Unfortunately, this one at ANY price just isn't worth it. The shower head sprays water at every inch of the shower. There was water shooting at the glass shower door, the left side of the shower wall and also above my head. It may be because the shower head is 8 feet high but it was a miserable and unusual experience.The toilet pressure was also very low to the point we had to flush twice. The bed mattress was so uncomfortable my back started to hurt from sleeping and at the same time I was sweating even with the air conditioner on. I've never had this happen at other hotels in Guadalajara. In summer or winter. Lastly, somehow the ink from my hair stained the pillowcase and the Housekeeping brought it to the front desk and told me to pay $182 pesos for replacement. Did they try to launder the linens? If the towels are dirty do they charge all guests for replacement. I won't be coming back. I've never had any of these issues at other hotels. Try Real Maestranza or Hotel Portelo for a far superior sleeping, customer service and bathroom experience.

Hi, 3 Things to improve: -Bigger bottles of water in the room or 2 more bottles. -Faster room service and Bar service. -Better lightning in pool area. Nice facilities an the staff is very kind. Thanks

Stayed here for one week in September 2020, in a Jacuzzi suite. We found the hotel to be a wonderful place to stay..... Location on a busy street was not a problem for noise. Short walk to Centro Historico, and a quick Uber to everywhere else we went. Room was large, clean and well appointed. Jacuzzi worked well. Cleaning staff were very nice. Due to COVID, the protocols were well explained and the hotel was efficient in handling people coming in and out. Front desk staff were friendly. The Bar/Restaurant was quiet, great service, food was not the greatest but it was not bad.... I give it a 6.5 to 7 All in all... highly recommend this hotel.... price is competitive with other places.

The hotel is in a nice location, the rooms are clean and big, but especially the hotel staff are very attentive and friendly, Victor in the restaurant section will help you in every way, even the orders that are not on the menu will come from the kitchen immediately. I would like to thank the hotel staff, especially Victor. Otel konum olarak güzel yerde, odalar temiz ve büyük ama özellikle otel çalışanları çok ilgili ve güler yüzlü, Restaurant bölümünde Victor size her şekilde yardımcı olacaktır, menüde olmayan siparişleri bile hemen mutfaktan hazırlayıp gelecektir.
