Always a classic 5-star hotel; the service, cleanliness, facilities, and maintenance are all excellent. The location is also very convenient – not to mention taxis and driving, but there's also a bus stop, metro, tram, and ferry terminal right outside. You can reach Canton Tower quickly by tram. I booked through Ctrip, and they upgraded me to a river view. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful too. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room faces the Pearl River, offering fantastic views, especially for sunset photos. The facilities are comprehensive, and the lighting is a warm tone. It's excellent value for money. The hotel's afternoon tea is exquisite and reasonably priced. It's best to stay when there are no conventions happening.

This is a long-standing five-star hotel. Although it's been open for a while, it's very well managed, the facilities are well-maintained, and the service is excellent. The pool is clean and hygienic. The buffet dinner at Meow Coffee Shop offers a wide variety of food, including an all-you-can-eat durian selection, which is a real treat. The Southeast Asian restaurant (Dongnan Xiaoguan) has a nice ambiance, and their set meals are delicious.

We could see the hotel's garden and pool from the window, which offered a lovely river view. Even though it wasn't a high floor, we were still very happy with it. Facilities & Ambiance: The hotel is well-equipped with amenities including an outdoor swimming pool, gym, and tennis courts, perfect for family activities and relaxation. Room facilities are also comprehensive, featuring comfortable bedding and reliable shower facilities. The hotel's public areas are elegantly decorated with a beautiful environment, and the river view rooms are particularly popular, offering expansive views and stunning river scenery.

I got a free room upgrade to a spacious room with a great river view. They provided plenty of mineral water, and every night before bed, they delivered a bookmark and a bottle of mineral water, which was a nice touch. The swimming pool water was clean, and my child had a lot of fun. For breakfast, there weren't many cake options, but the yogurt was excellent, and the cold brew oatmeal was delicious. My original booking included a 20% discount on hotel consumption, but the front desk told me I could get a 25% discount during check-in. However! When we had the 588 buffet dinner on the first floor that night, the front desk even had me sign to confirm the discounted price, and they confirmed the consumption with me at check-out. But when they returned my deposit, they didn't apply any discount at all, making me pay the full price!

This was my first time staying at the Shangri-La in Guangzhou. Although the decor is a bit dated, the service consistently maintained its high standard. Staff in every department were polite, attentive, and thoughtful. On the 9th, breakfast was quite crowded due to an exhibition, so by around 9 AM, many dishes were already gone. However, breakfast on the 10th was very satisfying; I got to try many Guangzhou dim sum dishes. I especially loved the shrimp wontons and the steamed red bean cake. I'd definitely consider staying here again in the future.

This hotel felt pretty average. It's not really suitable for families with kids, and the service wasn't very professional. Compared to other hotels in the same class, the value for money was just okay. The fun activities that were supposed to be included with the booking didn't pan out, which disappointed the children. The indoor pool was decent. It said that outdoor activities were complimentary, but when we got there, they said we had to pay. Other activities weren't even available. The follow-up service was also mediocre. I won't be returning.

Doris and Astrid provided excellent service; they were both lovely and very attentive. They truly made my Guangzhou trip memorable. The hotel environment is also fantastic. I'll definitely choose Shangri-La again next time.
