Initial impressions were good. Tasteful conversion of a old mill. Room was a generous size with everything we needed although heating was not on when we arrived in February! It warmed up but we expected better. Room was clean although bin had not been emptied. Bed was large and comfortable. Beer hall was very good..imaginatvely converted with pub style food of a reasonable standard. Breakfast next day was very poor. We ate downstairs in the Bistro. Fruit salad was mediocre, no natural yogort just sweetened versions, full breakfast had clearly been sitting around for a long time resulting in dry, luke warm food. Coffee was luke warm and eggs benedict portion was tiny. We would visit the beer hall again but find somewhere much better to stay particularly at the price.

Came on a 2 night winter break offer, where we were given £25 per person evening meal voucher to spend on 1st night. We have visited before so new what to expect & because standard rooms are a bit small and sp**** on furniture, we decided to spend a little more & upgrade to what was advertised as a superior room. Big mistake, 🤔 the room itself may have been slightly bigger, definitely more furniture because there was a wardrobe, but still only 1 chair, but to add insult to injury on what was possibly the coldest 2 nights of Winter so far we had no heating. Both radiators in the room + towel rail in the bathroom didn't work. On 1st night staff were unable to get heating working & we were told Hotel was full!!! Not sure about that. So they provided a small portable electric radiator hardly sufficient to heat the room & bathroom. Next day we had to complain again because staff hadn't notified the new staff to our situation. We were told then that a plumber would be coming out to sort it, but that never happened, we were not offered another room & so had to spend a second night in our superior room. To say we were disappointed is an understatement & if it hadn't been a pre payment deal I would have refused to pay. I have since contacted the hotel management to complain but after a week have still not had a response. Don't think they're interested. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place...sadly going down hill fast

The room is alright. Bit small, no bath. Bit underwhelming for the price. Staff are friendly. The breakfast… terrible. Congealed eggs, old sausages. Bacon poorly cooked but left under a heat lamp and looked rather anemic, tasted salty. Weak coffee. Fruit salad clearly from a tub so it all tasted the same. Overall, poor.

Stayed for 2 nights for family wedding. Wedding function was excellent. Food fantastic great service. Hotel room great size, good rainfall shower. Comfy bed. Was a little warm overnight. We had no problem with noise. Nice helpfull reception staff. All the bar areas are lovely with a great atmosphere. Definatly a return trip needed

Stayed for 1 night in a deluxe room, which was lovely. However my friend stayed in a standard double & the obly difference we could see was tuat we had a bottle of water on the nightstand. Room wqs lovely & dining area was beautiful. The only thing letting it down was the luke warm breakfast. All in all a good hotel though. (Parking is atrocious & the staff are embarrassed by it)

We have had many a day out in Clitheroe as not too far away but decided to stay whilst attending a concert. The hotel is part of the Holmes Mill complex so plenty to see & do. We were met with a very friendly, down to earth welcome and quickly had our room key & shown the way. We have standard room and being an old mill the room was very big and modern with almost everything you need. Nice touches with quality of toiletries, biscuits and tea & coffee etc. We were lucky to find free on street parking although not too sure the local residents are happy with this. The payable car park next to hotel is small and the spaces tight and shared be everyone who may want to use it. Only one small negative (like many hotels) the mould on the silicone in the shower wasn’t great but should be easily sorted. Just an addition of a full length mirror (there’s plenty of room) - didn’t affect me just my partner & perhaps swap a standard socket for a USB although none of this affected a nice stay.

Very average for price. We were charged £150 for the night including breakfast. The room.wss bland and basic and makes premier Inn look upmarket. We visited clithero for my wife's birthday. We usually go to.the Bolivard at Blackpool. As the saying goes you get what you pay for except here we didn't

Excellent as always. We particularly liked the ‘Small Plates’ section of the Brasserie Menu on Thursday. (The Brasserie is currently open in the evenings on particular days, but we recommend it.) it also serves a good Continental breakfast…
